Lets talk about the Eido bug

So I just came out recently of 2 successful eido fights with this bug, where he sometimes just ignores the self hold and start attacking immediately during red orbs, though the red orbs don't actually hurt the players while cced, this makes the last phase of eido a bit interesting, since you have to see under Eido buffs to recall if people need to spread out or go for reds
Makes the whole fight a bit more challenging with more decision making in the process, and more fun at the end

It does add some variety to the fight, and adds another layer of attentiveness required. I like it personally. Rather than just doing the same thing each time reds came up, I actually had to notice if they were damaging or not, then adjust my tactics accordingly ( i.e. paralze/sleep instead of stun )

Not sure. It does add extra thinking, but red with no siphon nightmares is really easy to deal with unless he decides to follow up with geysers or another orb type (particularly if the other orbs are close enough to the red spawns to be hard to safely hit), and if he follows up with something bad it's likely a full reset.

I like this way of Eido, shows how good teamwork and paying attention works in "The Real Endgame Battle" If this stays, we can learn to improve it and still be taking down Eido like before.

Deciding that a bug is actually a feature is hardly unheard of in software development.

Having now CCed the new eido, it does make life exciting for the CCer (dodge geysers while CCing ftw...), but I don't think it makes a lot of difference for other people.

This bug doesn't make the fight more difficult. In fact, when the red orbs don't damage it technically makes the fight much easier - nobody is taking damage, Eido isn't healing, and everyone can just pile on Eido. People just need to notice quickly enough to capitalize - but even if they don't, all they lose is the opportunity to dps Eido more.

Not if he spawns greens or yellows on top of reds. Then people end up breaking CC on reds via aoe stuns/paras. The fight is easier if this doesn't happen.

Good point. When that happens it's more difficult. When it doesn't it's easier.

Considering the number of sub 10-minute runs that have happened, I don't really see how it can be said that the fight is all that difficult. I mean, it's no cakewalk like most of the story content, but if people just follow the fairly simple tactics and pay attention, it generally goes fine. It's not actually the fight that is difficult, it is the standing around for 30 minutes doing setup.

A flaw with the Eido fight is that most of its problems are dps tests (all three orb types are basically dps tests, though red orb also has a cc test; geysers are evasion tests), so if you have enough dps to succeed at any of them you have enough dps to succeed at all of them.

Well it's more than just a dps test, it's also a coordination test. Dino is pretty much just a dps test since everyone is already targeting the correct target and nobody has to move. It has a slight bit more in that people have to notice if a baby attack started before or after the dps startup, but mostly it's a fairly straightforward dps check. At Eido we could have plenty of dps but still fail miserably because people didn't coordinate correctly. I wouldn't call that a flaw, I would call it a fairly realistic assessment of what challenging content needs to be in this game.

We'll see if this is still a flaw after The Fist gets its DR fixed.

That just changes the difficulty of the dps test, not whether it's a dps test.

I never said it would change whether it was a dps test or not. I said we would see if us being able to overpower the dps test would remain a flaw.
