Winter Charms not going up

So, I ran the mission to defeat 50 bears again and not only got the 25 charms the mission grants but gathered a whole bunch doing it... and when done as I logged out I checked my total, and it hadn't seemed to go up at all.. in fact I think it may be lower than i'd left it the night before.

I have not purchased anything in the event store either.

Can anything be done to check if it's really something up with my character? Abyss@Rune

You didn't try to go above the 800 limit, did you?

No, but I didn't know there was a limit.. this was on a character with around 180 charms at the time.
