Updates

I have decided to try this game again but I can't find anything in the last year about any major updates. In fact the last you tube video was about vehicle combat. Was that ever added? Are major updates still being done or is it the occasional paid "travel" power update and small event stuff?

Have you gone through the Release Notes section of this Forum yet? You'll also have to define what you mean by "major."

probably, new maps, increased level caps, villain side.

warzone- level 40 only zone.
Cosmic fights - and gcr gear.

all the power updates and new at's probably don't count

I mean stuff like the "shadows of destruction" update etc. Where it adds a bunch of new free and paid content at once. Or like the "seasons" in sto. etc.

That's not how we get new content here. Even Shadows of Destruction didn't "add a bunch of stuff at once", it added it in parts over time - first the event, then a while after that the new zone with the new cosmic boss. If you're looking for "a bunch of stuff at once" then you're not gonna find that here because we don't get "expansions", we get a steady inflow of new things. Sometimes it's bigger, like the High Noon event - of course around that time, other additions slow down because more of their work goes into the big thing. When we're not getting a bigger thing, then the other additions come more quickly. I personally like it this way because it feels like we never go longer than two weeks around here without having something new to go bonkers over.

If your question is "is this game being updated regularly or is it dead?" then the answer is "it's being updated regularly".

Also I apologies if I came off rude or needy but I just got off from playing my old childhood mmo of anarchy online which is now in a state of being lucky to have gotten an exploit fix. The updates for that game have stopped completely so I had a valid concern this was in the same boat.

We were in that boat for a bit there. Like a year and a half of dead development. For some reason 3-some-odd years ago we got out of that boat.. and made landfall on an island full of giant monsters and furries and cthullu horrors and 80s dances and development has been ramping up ever since o3o

So yeah don't worry, people around here get the whole "my favorite MMO died" thing. We're also one of the few communities who get to be happy that it un-died \o/
