I have three broken level 40 characters in the Powerhouse (cheers Devs!) and I'm utterly stuffed for ideas for what to do with them. Retconning from Level 40 is always one of my least favourite things and the various changes to power sets have left me thinking that I can't get things to work properly. I am considering deleting them to start again from the ground up but surely this has to be a waste of time.

Have looked around at various builds on forums but everything seems to be out of date. So I'm asking for suggestions. Does anyone have any decent ideas for the following?

1) A replacement for an Invuln/Power Armour build of the sort that used to work in the Q zone and now doesn't. I've tried to remake this with the Electricity power set but it doesn't seem to have the nice combination of single target penetration and AoEs that PA did.

2) An extremely broken cross-set weather character. Again, with the Q zone in mind, I was trying to make something more durable, with a defensive passive and various debuffs... can't seem to make the various sets work together properly any more.

3) An ex-Munitions toon I can't bear to look at any more and am considering various options. Pet Controller? Never had one of those. Or something with obscure powers - AoAC or AoRP, built to be of occasional use in team content but more towards solo play.

Basically, if you've got any fun workable builds, post them here, and I'd be eternally grateful. Thanks in advance....

A tanky PA build that still uses the toggle playstyle:

    (Unnamed Build) - Freeform

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Constitution (Primary)
    Level 10: Intelligence (Secondary)
    Level 15: Endurance (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Glacier (Con: 10, End: 10, Dex: 8, Int: 10)
Level 6: Healthy Mind (Con: 5, Int: 5)
Level 9: Boundless Reserves (Con: 5, End: 5)
    Level 12: Investigator (Int: 5, End: 5)
Level 15: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 18: Negotiator (Int: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 21: Amazing Stamina (Rec: 5, End: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Power Bolts
    Level 1: Invulnerability (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 6: Concentration
Level 8: Micro Munitions (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 11: Overdrive
Level 14: Hand Cannon (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 17: Shoulder Launcher (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 20: Energy Wave (Reverse Polarity, Recharge)
Level 23: Reconstruction Circuits (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 26: Masterful Dodge
    Level 29: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 32: Energy Shield (Phalanx Defense System)
Level 35: Ego Surge (Nimble Mind)
Level 38: Circle of Arcane Power (Rank 2)
    Adv. Points: 33/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Constitution: Unyielding (1/2)
    Constitution: Fuel My Fire (3/3)
    Constitution: Resilient (2/2)
    Constitution: Adrenaline Rush (2/2)
    Constitution: Armored (2/2)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Find the Mark (2/3)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Offensive Expertise (2/2)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (3/3)
    Mastery: Constitution Mastery (1/1)

Hand Cannon and Shoulder Launcher don't take as much energy as other attacks for the PA slots, and can also work as alpha strikes. Micro Muni helps you AoE, Circuits can help you turtle. If you are blocking often, then you may want to consider making the block Ebon Void w VD. Con PSS gives you innate knock and hold resist, heals on crits, and extra energy when hit. CoAP can be used for optimal dps when trying to use all 3 toggle attacks at once.

Similar backbone to the PA build, attacks aside. Gear for a bit of End and Rec on the side to help w/ energy reserves.

I can't really help you much w/ the 3rd one, since its a bit too vague for me. But I hope those two builds helped somewhat.

Cheers, I shall try them out, thanks. The Electric/Wind one seems most applicable as the character has a nautical theme (A storm sprite) and it's quite close to the original.

I suppose with AoAC and AoRP I'm looking for applications thereof - is it purely a team buff power or one of those ones that benefits from stat maxing? With AoRP I can't see any reason to use it over the default defensive passives like Invuln or Defiance... it's an odd little corner of the game I can't see a use for.

AoRP is mostly for buffing ally defenses (while also making you more sturdy as a support)- its the best passive for that, though Med Nanites is a good alternative now that it has some dmgRes added to it. Although AoRP doesn't boost dps directly, I find as a healer I can focus more on other things and a bit less on baby-sitting green bars, so it indirectly can boost other aspect of play.. but ymmv.

There aren't too many active buffs for teams in the game (stuff like Howl or radiant sigils), but there are a good amount of debuffs that can lower enemy dmg or raise that of ur allies. You prob can't cram all of them into a single build, but it will depend on how far down that rabbit hole you wanna go.
