Throwing ninja

This is a rather unusual Ranged DPS build. It is heavily themed in terms of the attacks used, mainly using the few attacks that involve throwing something. There's one minor exception with the Particle Mine, but with stealth and running away, it should be fun to use and fits into unusual attacks. Basically this is a tech ninja with any of the psychic or magical powers below explained away through tech. It most likely could use improvements. Here's the first draft...

PowerHouse (Link to this build)

Archetype: Freeform

Super Stats:
Level 6: Dexterity (Primary)
Level 10: Ego (Secondary)
Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

Talents:
Level 1: The Void
Level 6: Acrobat
Level 9: Ascetic
Level 12: Shooter
Level 15: Impresario
Level 18: Quick Recovery
Level 21: Wordly

Powers:
Level 1: Boomerang Toss
Level 1: Ricochet Throw (Rank 2, Microelectronic Controllers, Accelerated Metabolism)
Level 6: Concentration
Level 8: Night Warrior (Rank 2, Rank 3, Silent Running)
Level 11: Molecular Self-Assembly
Level 14: Particle Mine (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 17: Bountiful Chi Resurgence (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 20: Shuriken Storm (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 23: Bolas (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 26: Gas Pellets (Rank 2, Oversized Pellet Bag)
Level 29: Energy Shield
Level 32: Ego Surge (Nimble Mind)
Level 35: Evasive Maneuvers (Sleight of Mind)
Level 38: Masterful Dodge

Travel Powers:
Level 6: Athletics (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 35: Energy Swinging

Specializations:
Dexterity: Combat Training (3/3)
Dexterity: Brush It Off (2/2)
Dexterity: Deadly Aim (3/3)
Dexterity: Expose Weakness (2/2)
Avenger: Ruthless (2/2)
Avenger: Round 'em Up (3/3)
Avenger: Surprise Attack (2/2)
Avenger: Preemptive Strike (3/3)
Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
Vindicator: Modified Gear (2/2)
Mastery: Vindicator Mastery (1/1)

Molecular Self-Assembly was really the only energy unlock I could find that seemed useful. I'm not sure if Bountiful Chi Resurgence is that great of a choice for self-healing especially since this build isn't dodge focused. Vindicator Mastery looks like it would allow me to get off Ricochet Throw faster. I didn't even have that bad of a time in the battle theater if I did a sneak attack on the highest rank enemy and followed up with Shuriken Storm. It's not quite the same as a live field test however.

MSA scales off of INT, and you don't have it as an SS or talented

    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (2/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (3/3)
    Mastery: Dexterity Mastery (1/1)

Not sure if Preemptive Strike works on Gas Pellets or the Mine, but if it doesn't then it may be better just going w/ Guardicator. Since Surprise Attack works only on single-target attacks, due to RThow's inverse flagging that means it'll affect only the chained targets hit w/ it (still can be good then). Otherwise, tried to keep most of the attacks the same.

RThrow is ur main AoE when charged here, and also ur main ST attack when tapped. Shuriken Storm is really just for when ya wanna turtle up w/ its dodge adv and BCR/RR, as charged RThrow covers AoE just fine otherwise. BCR/RR will also be good when paired w/ MD, though if ya dun need healing then its best to avoid using BCR due to the final dmg penalty it gives.

Switched to Dex Mastery too, which means ya can forgo gearing for severity rating on gear. Gears mostly for Int and Con, w/ a bit of Dex for the crit.

I normally refrain from posting to one of my threads after this long, but I have to say I really have a blast playing through with this character. I had no idea stealth was so powerful and could make so many missions much easier. Ricochet Throw is so powerful and can take down a whole group of a few mobs with one hit. I even manage to hit level 20 in a few hours where it would otherwise take me a lot longer with my other builds.

I didn't even think to take INT for this build since I wasn't aware of MSA scaling off of that. Given the mixed framework nature of the powers, I'm surprised I seem to be doing so well with it. Shame that there is little room for energy unlocks with mixed powers.

Yeah RThrow w/ NW's Sneak is a crazy combo vs. trash. Mix in the stealth if ya wanna avoid mission mobs, and ya got a pretty easy solo act (for a dps unit).
