This is my idea for my first support based character. It's a tech theme, so I tried to mostly stay with that for the powers. The idea is to help the team stay alive while still contributing to DPS. I'm not exactly clear how the control res debuffs work, will Electrocute be enough to keep them up on a boss?

Electrocute can work for the debuffs. Ya still won't have high uptime on the debuffs against bosses w/ it, but some uptime is better than none. Ya may want to trade Ball of Lightning for TStrike, since it also applies NI and can Root for Trapped in its adv, allowing ya to at least proc that in AoE.

One issue w/ building Support that uses LArc is that you may be constantly interrupting ur channels of it for healing, though I dunno just how committed to healing ya wanna be here. If its more like an Inventor, but ya wanna be more dps focused, then you'd prob use the Hybrid role and treat the ally healing as 2ndary. Ya may also want to consider picking up Impact instead of Overseer Aura.

Thanks, Flow. Is there a CC move you'd recommend over Electrocute? I'm not committed to Electric attacks, it just seemed like the easiest way to get an Energy Unlock into the build. Maybe MSA could work with some other low recharge power? I'm not sure how much energy management you need as a support, really.

Well, TStrike puts up Negative Ions and can root, as mentionned- even if not using Ionic Reverb, ya want NI to boost LArc's dmg. For bosses, ya could use Bolas and/or Binding Shot. They have the same cd as Electrocute, but can hold on-tap (instead of being charged). If ya want, ya can switch to MSA and Int gearing over Ionic Reverb and End gearing- just that you have to use cds pretty regularly for MSA.

Support is very good for energy, though stuff like Bolas, LArc, BShielding, and TStorm are costly so its nice to have Compassion + Pres_Rec and a good EU even in the Support role
