  • I'm not even sure what this means. What is a "hub"? Are you saying that each game will get a new subdomain for its forum? The most important thing you can do right now is remove the 10-result search limit. Well, this is annoying. I was just having a conversation with someone, and I wrote a fairly long post too. Forgive me…
  • I noticed the same thing.
  • For some reason, the search page seems to be limited to only 10 results now. I'm seeing this with both regular and advanced search.
  • See my previous comments below. Also, is anyone working on the SSL problems with the main site arcgames.com? The problems affect anyone trying to establish a secure connection to arcgames.com using Firefox (and possibly some other browsers), whether it be for billing, customer support, or to post on the forums. The…

  • I just want to clarify that this problem is not related to Vanilla forums. It's a problem with the site arcgames.com. It also affects billing.arcgames.com, and it's preventing people from buying Zen. http://perfectworld.vanillaforums.com/discussion/1189275/http-billing-arcgames-com-en-not-working-want-zen…
  • Chrome comes with its own version of Flash. I don't know whether the Arc browser is based on Chromium or not, but Adobe says that Chromium does not come with Flash. You have to install it separately. https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-chromium.html Arc installs its own Flash plugin, presumably for its own…
  • Are you trying to use the Arc client for general web browsing? I would seriously advise against that, because Arc requires administrative privileges to run and installs a vulnerable version of Flash. http://perfectworld.vanillaforums.com/discussion/1190680/arc-installs-vulnerable-version-of-flash…
  • I reported this bug a while ago. http://perfectworld.vanillaforums.com/discussion/1190685/ssl-error-on-arcgames-com-ssl-error-no-cypher-overlap Here's another bug related to SSL. http://perfectworld.vanillaforums.com/discussion/1190682/firefox-isnt-accepting-ssl-certificate-from-arcgames-com I've brought these two security…
  • I wish Trendy would clarify this for us, and maybe get it reversed. It makes little sense to me as a policy. They're not preventing people from learning about the changes on the test servers, since people will just post that information elsewhere. And except for special circumstances, the STO test servers are open to…
  • You mean this post? http://perfectworld.vanillaforums.com/discussion/comment/12580576#Comment_12580576 I don't think he's an admin. At least, if he is, then he wasn't posting with an admin account. Often people claim that something is intended based on nothing but their own suppositions. It's a pet peeve of mine. Does…
  • I just tested this, and I think it's happening with all URLs. http://perfectworld.vanillaforums.com/discussion/1193222/vanilla-incoming-features-request-for-feedback http://www.arcgames.com/en/forums#/discussion/1193222/vanilla-incoming-features-request-for-feedback https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Message_authentication_code…
  • If it's a deliberate policy decision and not a bug, then they should say so. It doesn't make much sense as a policy decision anyway because people are posting the changes on Tribble to reddit and the visible forums. The information will get out one way or another.
  • This almost certainly has nothing to do with the embedded iframe or the redirection. An admin has set the Tribble and Redshirt forums to be hidden unless the user is signed in. I have no idea why, because those forums were not restricted before the forum migration.
  • Someone at PWE should read this: http://perfectworld.vanillaforums.com/discussion/comment/12559777/#Comment_12559777 I've already explained the problems with the embedded iframe multiple times.
  • Yes, they've started redirecting perfectworld.vanillaforums to www.arcgames.com/en/forums without fixing any of the problems with the embedded iframe. I kind of suspected this would happen.
  • Someone reported in another thread that this is still happening. http://perfectworld.vanillaforums.com/discussion/comment/12589923/#Comment_12589923 EDIT: Never mind. See the links below. http://perfectworld.vanillaforums.com/discussion/comment/12590314/#Comment_12590314…
  • I'm not talking about semicolons though. I'm talking about the fact that they render URLs as links, and if the URL is surrounded by quotes, they add the trailing quote to the link. url1 = "http://perfectworld.vanillaforums.com"; url2 = 'http://perfectworld.vanillaforums.com';
  • There are a couple of more problems: 1. I'm sure people have noticed the stupid smiley faces in the middle of code. str1 = " :) :D :( ;) "; str2 = " :/ :o :s :p "; str3 = " :'( :| B) :# "; str4 = " :* <3 o:) >:) "; 2. I'm also not sure URLs should be rendered as links, especially if you are going to add trailing quotes to…
  • 1. It's good that you will be adding page numbers to the bottom, but there is another problem that you haven't considered. On the first page, the page numbers appear below the first post, which can sometimes be quite long. I think the page numbers should appear above the first post. 2. I see a couple of people mentioning…
