it could be a false positive, where your firewall/antivirus system is reading the game as a trojan

I don't think it is. See my post about it. I think something funky is afoot.  False postives don't do what this "false postive" tried to do.

Uninstalling your antivirus?  Are you kidding?  Try unistalling this beta game first.  I just scanned this install file and it also flagged somethhing.

    Hey everyone,
Sorry to hear this is happening. I'll talk to the developers and see if they know anything about these issues.

  • Avira
  • Avira has given false positives in the past. Probably what it is, you could try scanning the files location specifically and see if it still does it or not.

Yeah, our client is completely clean and does not have any virus in it.

I have used Avira before as well. Paid and free version and yes, it can be quite a tought scanner. Finds every little hijack, including files for unlimited hacks in games etc. I have encountered problems like this before with other games etc.
If you know the source is sound, then allow it.
Otherwise Malwarebytes.org has always detected anything and gets rid of everything. If it cant, then you need to format. The free version is very good and never let me down yet. Runs as a stand-alone program.

Obvious false positive is obvious false positive.  If your AV program flagged a file from this game or any game these people make or any other reputable game publisher than your AV program is garbage.  It is flagging good things as bad and probably missing bad things that it should be getting.  Get a new or different AV program.
