Yep, painfully recognized that as well. It seems like, the red AoE´s are normally double the area it shows. At 2nd VOS Boss, if I´m not mistaken, one cone should be double the AoE towards the boss and one double the AoE away from the boss. Can confirm this (but on PC). Was tanking the sister with a low DPS group. She gave me her Uber hits and then I respawned at campfire,with the sister next to me. Pretty scary experience though. xD
