I logged in just to see the AH mess for myself. OMG! Items selling for -1,000,000 AD... How does the AH even go into negative numbers anyway? Logged out, and I'm off to play WoW until they get this problem fixed.
Whatever. The fact remains that the game was designed such that each player would control one character at a time. Playing multiple characters simultaneously, regardless of how it is accomplished, is cheating, plain and simple.
I agree with the moderators: Multiboxing is cheating. It is an exploit. Obviously, there's no way to catch the people using multiple computers and jumping back and forth between them (not sure I'd call that multiboxing anyway), but multiple instances of the game on a single computer, even though some such players may mean…
The combat system is excellent, and the horse riding animations are some of the best I've ever seen. That won't be enough to keep me around for the long haul though.
I would do dungeons with you, OP, but I'm nowhere near level 60. Personally, I couldn't care less how other people are geared, or even how skilled they are at playing. I'm only in it for the fun, the escapism, the thrill of discovery and the excitement of combat. I lament that few gamers seem to know what "RPG" means…
Er, I don't get it, OP. I use a mouse in this game just like in most other games I've played. The controls are a lot like Skyrim's (except the "S" key); mouse and keyboard are used in conjunction with each other. Get a gaming keypad for your left hand (or right, if you're left-handed) so your keys will be in a more…
I prefer to look at it as criticism rather than complaint, and criticism is what every company needs to help them improve their product. Businesses want this kind of feedback; they don't want people to just quietly stop using their product.
How about just wiping all the AD and switching to a coin-based economy? People who purchased AD could receive gold instead. In D&D 4E, one astral diamond is worth 10, 000 gp. It seems like the values have been flipped in this game, with 1 gp being worth 10, 000 AD in terms of buying power. They could convert the AD to gold…
Punish everyone for the actions of the cheating minority? And you think we'd all be understanding about it and roll new characters, rather than quitting the game en masse?
First, I love the combat in this game! With that out of the way, my wishlist: 1. Paladin class. 2. More open world + flying mounts. 3. Player headtracking. (I know it may seem petty, but it's one of those little things that makes a big difference for immersion). 4. Have the "S" key cause the player or player's mount to…
I've played to level 18 and my opinion about it hasn't solidified yet. I'm still weighing whether or not I want to invest money or any more time in it.
Some stuff I'd noted so far: 1. Player head tracking: For those who may not be familiar with the term, it's where your character automatically turns his or her head and looks at nearby players, NPCs and objects of interest. It would help a lot with immersion, and make our characters seem more alive. 2. Controls: The "S"…
