Momentum is a great idea. As for Parry, I think the problem with Sentinel is conceptual as much as it is mechanical. Sure, Sentinels are the worst tank by far, but OP and GF already exist to fill the tank niche and a group only needs one tank. There's no benefit to the game as a whole from having a third tank class…
Voted that I can't stand it. It's a sad module in many ways, since I'm attached to the game and have had a huge amount of fun in it, and met some awesome people. I don't care about the balance mechanics so much (anything's better than Module 5, where about 70% of the top 5 PVP leaderboard screens were TRs), but Module 6 is…
No. I think that he's saying that it doesn't matter if one particular archetype (Swordmaster Destroyer) GWF has amazing damage, it dies so fast to all of the damage melees take in high level dungeons that it won't end up doing more damage than a (low damage) tank: because it will be dead so much. If I were starting out…
The Graycloak's Legacy item is unusable for paladins. I've used it on every other character, but for my Paladin it says he already has all the items from within. Which he does not.
Almost two years after the Mythweavers first opened their doors to newcomers, we are still going strong and still recruiting. If you're a roleplayer, Foundry author, or otherwise splended person: we are recruiting, and looking for people like you. Head on over to our website, or send someone a message in game.
You do indeed get Zen, but you're forced to spend a huge amount of money to get something competitive. That's the kicker. It doesn't really matter that you get the Cambion + 12,000 Zen for the cost of 12,000 Zen, it matters that there is an unavoidable cost. 12,000 Zen isn't that hard to scrape together in game.
Those two get a whole-hearted endorsement. The Foundry is unique as a low-barrier to entry method of developing and sharing content, in that it requires virtually zero knowledge to play a Foundry and very little to make one. The latter is a double-edged sword, because it results in a lot of dross within the Foundry itself.…
I agree with this (I play a fair amount on my GWF) but I also agree with the original poster to some extent. The trouble is that optimal groups don't want a jack-of-all-trades. If you want a fast clear, you maximise your damage output. In this circumstance you want the best tank that can stay alive, and then damage -…
Cryptic took the cheap way out and outsourced their wiki. These forums are probably the best place to ask, followed by places like the Neverwinter Reddit.
The Tyranny of Dragons is here, and the Mythweavers are still going strong. We are looking for responsible, mature adults to join us in having fun - PVE, PVP, the incessant grind of dailies, and of course creating Foundry content and holding roleplay events.
Probably most PVPers will reroll to HR or TR, and most PVErs to HR. It was nice being a GWF at launch, people didn't even know what your abilities were, the class was so rarely seen. Alright so only good friends and loyal guildies would take you to dungeons or PVP, but think of this as an opportunity to test the strength…
The change was aimed at those who use the system, rather than those that don't. I can accept that many Neverwinter players are not at home with Bayesian theory. But you'd have to demonstrate an inability to master splitting a stack is a common condition amongst those using the refinement system, for this to be a valid…
... I'd tried everything else in other MMOs. Rogue, melee damage, tanking, range damage. And I was hoping it would be the Bard class from EverQuest (it isn't). I really enjoyed my cleric in the early days, and I still maintain a guide to my cleric build (it'll be a year old next week!). I liked being the tank, in the early…
Thayan gear is fine for starting. I use a support build (the Righteous Cleric thread) which lets me do dailies comparatively fast with Divine Glow/Daunting Light, provide Foresight buff to my party, and do enough healing to keep a good group up through any dungeon. I'd definitely go Divine Oracle - Anointed Champion seems…
This is a game where every type of PVP involves going somewhere and standing on it, thereby negating one advantage of range (distance) because the only areas that matter in PVP are about a 90 unit radius from any capture point. Buffs (from DCs, at least) are usually constrained to a small compact area (e.g. Divine Glow,…
Archive of pre-Gauntlgrym build: N.b. * Updated due to patch. * The Virtuous cleric spec is now a bit of a misnomer - this build has finally caved to the inevitable and has more Faithful points than Virtuous. Reasons are below. Aim The original purpose of this build/post is to provide a DPS-focused build for the Devoted…
Average hit of Blessing of Battle on a target dummy when initiating (i.e. before buffs apply): 1,782 (10 hits) Average hit of Blessing of Battle on a target dummy after initiating (i.e. after BoB application): 1,640 (40 hits) That's just under a 10% drop, I have a haunting feeling that if I ran it enough it would go to a…
Hallowed Ground with Moon Touched specifically states it heals a percentage of the recipient's health, rather than a flat amount of health. Does this nerf in PVP still affect that? It will probably need a DC with a PVP buddy to test.
