  • Majority? Speak for your self OP. These doom & gloom, wipe servers, separate shard threads serve no purpose than to try to rally the whiners.
  • When the auction used to end in the negative time range before, it was much better for the seller because many times the auction wouldn't end till an hour after the last bid. The current way is the normal auction practice but the vague end of bid time remaining may be Cryptic's way of anti-sniping feature but it is a poor…
  • OP's point is that he is not able to place a bid whether he types it in or just "auto" places a bid to the next higher amount because the Place A Bid button is greyed out and cannot be clicked. OP does make a valid argument. The only other option that is available is the Buy Out bid but that's not realistic to ask just to…
  • Dual stacking Astral Shield by two DCs and the easy mode CW's knock out of platform abilities for T2s is part of what's keeping variety in groups. So, most every party for Castle Never looks like 1 TR, 2 DCs, & 2 CWs. No wonder many GFs and GWFs have given up on dungeons like Castle Never. You can clearly see in the…
  • What is interesting is how so many people selectively insist the game is in beta for free respecs, but other instances say, "No, it's a soft launch. Game is already LIVE and is only beta in name. It's a final release when cash shop is involved."
  • As much an argument that you make for changes for respec, it will fall on death ears at Cryptic/PWE and will not change. They've had this system in place for years w/ STO and Champions Online (probably PWE's other MMOs also). When the game officially gets out of beta into final release, they will have a test shard where…
  • Cryptic will give free respecs whenever there is a major change to any class. They've repeatedly done so for STO, I can count about 8 times that they've given free respec tokens. It's standard fare for any MMO to do so.
  • Firstly, I'm so relieved that you're not calling me a "fanboi." Did you even read the prior posts or mine completely? You don't have to pay real money for respec. How is it that you keep ignoring that fact?
  • There is one item that all of your AD and everyone's AD in the server combined cannot ever buy. That is the Angel of Protection! :p
  • OP is being overly dramatic when he says that we are being "punished." It's been stated over and over that no one has to pay real cash for a respec if they so choose. You can sell ADs for Zen and use that for the respec token. However, the naysayers continue to ignore that fact. Is 200K really that much that it is…
  • Microsoft would benefit financially from a conversion since any in game purchases would require buying MS points for in game Zen or items.
  • The game is perfect for a console since the controls can easily be translated for a control pad since this game is dubbed as an "action MMO."
  • This is something that would be quite profitable for Cryptic/PWE or any other company that can pull off a f2p model on a console. They could start off selling the game for $40-60 a copy w/ the Guardian pack. A year later turn it into a free download (w/ out Guardian pack) so that there's steady stream of new players and…
  • Respec cost is fine as it is. You guys are crying for free respecs via invoking via Celestial Coins which hardly takes any effort at all. A respec token from the Zen store is 600 zen or via the Zen Exchange costs approx. 205K based on a rate of 1 zen/342 AD, today's rate. Also, keep in mind that the zen/AD rate will…
  • Custom channels are nice but won't receive a huge usage since it's basically a private channel controlled by it's creator. Someone says something that the Mod doesn't like and then gets black listed. People will still spam zone chat because that's where they get the furthest exposure. The final solution is that Cryptic has…
  • Devs say it's alright. What's the big deal here? You guys want to make it an issue whether it's allowed or it isn't. Pick one but not both to argue about. The main thing is that Devs want to encourage players to play the dungeons and grant a reward for doing so during that time period, which doesn't mean it has to be so…
  • If the game is like STO, you'll be able to claim leadership if the guild leaders don't log in for quite some time. I think they need to log in at least once a month or so. That is if you're still playing then. After claiming leadership, you can kick all of the long gone players and if you're alone, just use the guild bank…
  • All Cryptic needs to do is enable a vote kick option and forget the party leader concept. This random party leader is just like leaving the door open to abuse.
  • Some people might not be as lucky w/ getting epic items directly from the lockboxes, so you get a little token called trade bars. Trade bars are a consolation prize that encourages more enchanted key purchases and more lockboxes opened means it gets you closer to that epic/rare item. Expect some items only to be obtainable…
  • Pro Tip: Use the search function by typing the partial name of item you're looking for, set the rarity (many people forget this), and then click on type of item. The item levels may not be working in game but you can use the Gateway, which will. The 400 item limit is good for keeping items priced within range. You're not…
  • Whether someone pays money to support a game or not, does not determine whether a game, software, or product is in beta stage or not. Plenty of people pay into a kick starter projects and just because money was exchanged doesn't mean the product is a final release. It may be or may not depending on whether the maker says…
  • People that spent money on the game did so knowing it's a beta and still being developed. It's just so obvious the game is a beta w/ all of its bugs. As for the "beta" tag, it is what it is. Just because some people want to define it as a final "release," it is not since the developer has not moved it into that stage. It's…
  • Temporarily, yes. This was evident a week and a half ago w/ the Caturday (AD negative bidding) fiasco. The large quantities of AD are being distributed via the AH/trades throughout the game economy, so it's less likely that any one person can control the market. It would take a good number of people (w/ resources) and…
  • The other issue with GWF is that it takes GWF significant amount of high end gear to come close to other classes that can get away with less gear but still top the GWF. I think the issue here is the utility of GWF. They provide less utility for the group, so they're over looked.
  • Maybe you don't realize this but other classes also have defense mitigating abilities and there are items/enchantments/set bonus that also mitigate defenses that make armor penetration a moot stat for PVE. Armor penetration is hardly useful for PVE but it has uses in PVP.
  • Overall, GWF does lower damage (being an in between class) and in your build, you chose survivability over dps. The OP has a point. Why take a GWF when a second CW will be a better asset when it comes to dps and control. As it is, groups will choose 2 clerics, 2 Control wizards, 1 trickster Rogue over including a GWF or…
  • As it is, the value of high priced items (very inflated to begin with) like t2 gear will continue to diminish because supply isn't as rare as more people reach lvl 60 and farm the items to sell. I think we'll see the zen/ad ratio in the 200+ AD range in the next month or so. People don't realize this but earning AD in the…
  • All of these wipe threads should just be locked and/or deleted. It's pointless since it will not happen and just causes feuding, name calling, and childish arguments. One side calls the other cheaters/exploiters the other calls the other noobs/l2p. All pointless...
  • Add vote to kick and a way to invite another person into the instance, so that all the progress in a dungeon is not lost.
  • My loading screen to Protector's Enclave seems like it's stuck but seems like it takes a few minutes. Before it just loaded and I was in...
