  • I haven't been having as much fun in the game since IWD. I like soloing. I don't mind doing skirmishes. I don't like dungeons because people just want to zerg them. I love some of the foundry content. I have supported the game. I want to support the game now. I want a reason to support the game in the future. I feel like…
  • The game has been less fun for me since IWD than before. I don't think there is anything wrong with giving feedback about that and it certainly isn't trolling. The latest damage/hitpoint balance changes suck. The gating of content has sucked. I want the Underdark and I want it to be fun like the game was earlier. It…
  • I'm not sure what the thinking is behind this change but it is horrible. I don't want to play a longer grindier game. I want to play a fun engaging game. The changes and design approach since IWD have been the exact opposite of that.
  • Thanks for the update. It's much appreciated.
  • I absolutely agree with this. I'm not upset that it's broken (although I do want it fixed), but I'm also not going to alter my security settings or make exceptions for websites. There is just too much stuff to track as it is and I don't need to have that sort of stuff on my plate. Make the site work or I'm just not going…
  • I can't sign into Arcgames.com at all, not just the Gateway. It's really irritating and would appreciate it being fixed.
  • I got the code a little earlier today and just got home to find it disabled. I do appreciate the thought of the gift and a thank you to your players. It's too bad some jerks had to ruin it for the rest of us again. I really wish those accounts that do this stuff over and over would see some serious discipline.
  • Apparently your account must be flagged for access to it, or maybe you must have a character copied over to the test server (which I don't). Anyway, it sounds cool. The Gateway is one of the neatest meta addons of any mmo I've played.
  • That is a little disappointing to hear. I hope it gets reintroduced in the future. I really don't want a character that looks like everyone else to satisfy marketing for new concept art.
  • I wish you had a sometimes option. Often the first time through. Sometimes I will or won't depending on circumstances and how good the quest plot is.
  • Hunter Ranger - I've always had rangers and mages as my main characters. I played a DC in alpha, beta, and through launch for something different. Also because there was no ranger and I didn't feel the wizard was fleshed out enough. So I'll bring my ranger through some adventures and quests and then roll a CW or SW…
  • That is one of my issues. I'm sort of excluded from the entire expansion this time around. I don't meet the gear score or the faction. I don't get to see the new stuff. I'm okay with that somewhat, but I'm not going to start forking over cash when I don't get new stuff. I don't like the exclusive mount, limited edition,…
  • lol, that sounds like a blurb out of Harry Potter. Rather clever really.
  • Welcome. What are the origins of your forum name?
  • Congrats to the winners. You lucky souls.
  • I voted more solo content as well, but I wouldn't mind group content if I ever joined a guild. I just don't like pugs that much. Pretty much anything that isn't pvp is something I wouldn't mind seeing more of as well. I really like the idea of more diversity that you suggest. One thing that might be interesting is if all…
  • I agree that it cross a line. My main point being that there is a line. I do think Wizards has the final say, but some of us have been playing D&D as long or longer and used to take canon from others. Someone working at Wizards gives them the authority, but doesn't mean they always make the best decisions. Again, my point…
  • I think it should stay BoE and I think all future items from the coins should be BoE. I think it's a good idea to let the player choose what they do with their reward and how they profit from it. For me, I'll profit by add the angel to my companion collection, but if someone else wants to sell it then so be it. The more we…
  • Your last paragraph sort of nails the dilemma. The answer is for the developers to be careful about what they add. I do think MMOs ask a lot out of player with regards to immersion and suspension of disbelief. I can think of some other mmos that have some pretty fantastical pieces to them, but are still careful what they…
  • Yeah, there is a lot that is really stretched here. The cubes are funny, but not long term. They also make a stupid sloshing noise that constantly gurgles around. The green slime and mimic, along with some of the other fantastic companions I can rationalize. The slime could be held by magic and directed by the "owner".…
  • That's really good to know. It's just a concern because I've not played a mixed game yet that didn't have a flagging trap of some sort. I'm really glad to know the only way to flag is by entering the zone and the only way it seems to unflag is by leaving the area entirely. Seems fair enough. Thanks for the clarification.
  • I voted Waterdeep. The potential there is huge. Moonshae and Shadowdale were tied for a close second though and I would love to see the entire Dales added though not just around Shadowdale. This was the hardest poll for me so far. Each one of those areas has some great stuff to offer.
  • I replied in that thread (my two forum names aren't difficult to associate). Overall I'm most excited that the ranger is getting a new Paragon path. I'm also excited for the pve content. I think adding an iconic area is great and IWD is a good choice. I'm dubious about the black ice and crafting update. I'll be honest…
  • I voted simple armour, but what I mean with that is to have more realistic looking armour. I would like something in between plain and the very ornate. I still want it to look good, but not so over the top with the pointy pieces and the pauldrons.
  • I chuckled at this. It's so very true. I have this queasy feeling the amount of pvp that is going to get into my pve is being understated.
  • It would almost be like GG, but worse, much worse. What about black ice? The blog entry mentions player competition for black ice. Does that mean via pvp or just competitive nodes? Honestly, I don't want to pvp in this game, and by that I mean I don't want to have a second rate game experience at the expense of a gank area.
  • Post level 60 advancement and a new paragon HR path sound great. I'm curious what player competition for black ice will mean. Is that just competitive nodes like we have now with class nodes, or does that mean it will be through pvp? I really hope the former, not the latter. I would prefer not to compete for nodes at all…
  • Someone has to purchase the Zen, at some point, in order to sell it. There was a seed pool at launch, but that pool is replenished with Zen to AD conversions. I do think the upgrade path is too costly. I still think most of the higher end items in the game are too spendy. It's a matter of perspective I suppose, but I think…
  • I really hope the game will officially support the Logitech and XBox gamepads on the PC when it is released for consoles.
  • Several companies had used PMB including Turbine (LotRO and DDO) and NCSoft (Aion, Lineage 2, etc). No one is using PMB anymore. It was bad and it died and so it's not relevant. Arc isn't really any different from the individual launchers except that it's unified. If you feel the launcher is a security or system risk then…
