The Great Weapon Fighter appeals to me because I usually end up tanking but I hate sword and board. A close second is the Trickster Rogue because of all of the neat utility skills they get. Why these two dissimilar classes? I like swords.
Well I believe that a dev said that the Control Wizard wasn't getting fire spells. I might be wrong. I would suspect that its another Wizard build, but you never know. I hope they have other Arcane classes besides Wizards.
I like that Gnome more than most Halflings. Now when the Foundry comes out I need to make a quest to save that dense Gnome... Its not his fault barbarians can use Int as a dump stat.
Having a playable undead race isn't something I have ever seen in D&D. (I could be wrong.) WoW (don't kill me for bringing this up) has one so it is quite possible for an mmo to pull it off.
We don't have enough information and this is just speculation. All I was saying is that my guess is that it is an Archery build for Rogues not the Ranger class. I could be wrong. Maybe there will be every class from all 3 4e player handbooks at launch. We don't know.
My list for Launch: GW FIghter Guardian Fighter Divine Cleric Battle Cleric Trickster Rogue (Some sort of ranged) Rogue Control Wizard (Another) Wizard That is really all I expect at launch, maybe a 3rd build for each class but I doubt it. I would guess that Paladin and Ranger would be the next classes added in.
Which is why I said 'and their variants.' From everything we have heard there will be 4 classes: Fighter, Cleric, Wizard, and Rogue. They will each have multiple builds: ie. Guardian Fighter and GW Fighter. So far we haven't heard much about Rangers, Paladins, and other classes however.
My question about the GW Fighters is: "How do they avoid/mitigate damage?" Every other video showed blocks, dodges, or teleports. Do GW Fighters just stand there and take it?
I hate Bards. That said (if/when they include more than 4 classes) I would be fine with Bards getting added. I always felt like they made some very flexible parties.
I'm guessing it will be a ranged Rogue. I'm all for the Ranger class don't get me wrong but from all the sources I've read it sounds like Neverwinter is launching with 4 classes (and their varients.)
