  • Hmmn. That's the game's greatest detraction, in my view. The major problem of MMOs is being stuck in an endgame for months or years at time. Who in their right mind wants to grind dailies?? ?? Who wants to grind anything? Enjoying endgame is an oxymoron. I don't understand how anyone can find an endgame enjoyable. Tyranny…
  • More races, classes and paragon paths forthcoming. There will always be, in any MMO, min/maxed builds and gear that make choices seem limited.
  • I would add that the armor isn't worth the effort either. GG armor is much easier to obtain and has better stats. Cosmetics with lower stats are not at all enticing.
  • D&D powers aren't designed with PvP in mind, so it would just be one nerf fest after another. PvP players would be constantly complaining about OP classes and PvE would be constantly be complaining about unnecessary nerfs. Having ways to win PvP other than direct combat mitigates the nerf cycle to a significant degree. Of…
  • From a capitalist view, it's not backwards. Moon Elves might be the most prolific NPCs in Neverwinter. Those who wish to emulate the lore might prefer to play a Moon Elf - which means they'd be more likely to spend money to do so. Those who don't care so much will be content to play Sun Elves.
  • It's based on which team wins.
  • Just make something up. Pretty much any word is a slur, in the proper context.

  • We hunt down villains who attack the innocent. Race isn't a factor - unless you're personally racist. Hopefully, racist characters would also be including slurs for humans.

  • You'll be able to use gold some in Fury of the Feywild.
  • You can't send money. You can send items and then sell them.
  • It's not quite the same mechanics. I've never run across Troll camps before. Feels like I'm in a Hobbit movie. I've also never fought Redcaps before. They feel like they're using some PC powers NPCs haven't used before. Might be avoid red circles, sure. But, the cool part is what the attacks actually are and how they fit…
  • Yeah, I wanted to be able to actually control. Supposedly, that's supposed to be a bit easier with the changes to Chill.
  • Absolutely never, at all.
  • Run it because there are new quests and new types of enemies to fight. There is a new storyline. New areas to explore. New lore. Because it's fun to... play. Plenty of endgame gear to purchase.
  • Look like good wizards to me. More stamina should help with teleport.
  • It's not based on D&D that slightly.
  • TRs should be stealthy. They shouldn't be able to keep 100% stealth during combat. Just as DCs shouldn't be able to keep 100% AS. That's just basic D&D. Just because players found a way to do it, doesn't mean that's the way it's supposed to be.
  • Not supposed to be able to keep 100% Stealth anyways.
  • Always important to remember that not all models of F2P are coercive.
  • No way to separate PvP from PvE in a game based on D&D rules and abilities. D&D is not designed to accommodate PvP. PvP is really found on 1v1 combat. RPGs are founded on 5-man groups of roles that support the individual strengths and weaknesses of each class against PvE. You can't really complement those well. Some…
  • 1. No end game content... that you like to play. 2. PvP is usually terrible. Thankfully, in this game we have Gauntlgrym. 3. End game gear progression is inherently terrible and boring we definitely don't want more of that. More lateral progression, like Fury of the Feywild. Please! You're on the right track. Just keep…
  • I agree. Do something with the lower seals. They are really only worth discarding.
  • If the game doesn't intimidate, threaten you or force you to pay by making the game feel impossible to win unless you make a purchase, there is no coercion. Neverwinter is not an example of coercive F2P. Neverwinter's items for pay are for fluff and convenience. F2P is designed, of course, to entice players to pay. And to…
  • Um. The devs still need to get paid for the development of the content somehow. How do you think that happens? $60 for Moon Elf seems like a better deal than $200 for Menzo Drow. You get a free new race - and have to pay if you want the variant. I don't see why that's a game-stopper. Following the patterns we've seen…
  • The gelatinous cube is probably my favorite. That totally made the dungeon feel like D&D. The mimics are fairly close runner-ups I also like it when you know the dungeon well enough that you leave them alone. That's precisely what experience dungeon-delvers in a story would do. It's kinda fun, too, when a newbie springs…
  • I would kind of expect mail armor to have higher stats than cloth.
  • Yeah, I mean, I think the pack is too expensive. Especially compared to what I would get if I paid for DLCs for other games. But, it's nothing to complain about really. I just won't buy the pack.
  • They aren't equal in terms of capability in a combat situation - that's the point. Each class is designed to be great at their role of supporting one another in a party against PvE. That's the role in roleplaying. D&D classes aren't designed to be equally effective solo or against one another.
  • Endgame content in other MMOs has never been interesting. Sure, in other MMOs there were hell levels where it took forever to wade through content. And the worlds were bigger, so much more room for exploration. I could be stuck on two levels for weeks at at time. The endgame wasn't compelling. Leveling alts was compelling.…
