Really, it's the first fight I can recall where you absolutely have to avoid AoE's, and where the adds can cause problems if not dealt with quickly. Add that to a (fairly) inexperienced playerbase at that level, maybe even to MMO's entirely, it's no surprise that people have a hard time adjusted to the difficulty.
How about, instead of something drastic like "forcing them into combat", the afk system adapts such that if you do not take or deal damage at least once inside a 1/2/3 minute window (maybe in addition to rules already in place), you're booted from the match for being marked as afk.
Earlier yesterday (03/06) I was receiving gifts of tymora occasionally from running SCA... late last night and even this morning I have yet to receive a single gift from 5 tier-3 dungeons, doing every single encounter available. Not trying to start any arguments, but I've absolutely definitely missed with SE on quite a few occasions. I'm not sure where you guys are getting the "unavoidable" thing from.
This is true, however technically speaking, let's say we had all the AD in the world. Stone of Might is better with unlimited resources... Allure is a better option realistically.
