Well, first of all I never stated that everyone you fight is bad. Just to get that out of the way. However, a good GWF (which I consider to be one who doesn't blow their Frontline at the first chance they get on your ITC or a dodge or a DF, takes the time to avoid DF, etc. An example would be a GWF from Chocolate Shoppe or…
This is simply not true. You're making claims on a 1v1 basis, which is not how it works in a true team-setting. The CW class is not the best choice for a 1v1 class, you have that right, but as a roaming support, it's VERY effective. Decent damage potential, and still contributes with CC, even though neither is quite as…
I am just going to point out once more that very few people actually run a full permastealth build. To be a TRUE permastealth, one must run Bait and Switch, which very few high-end players actually do. The default right now is ITC, SS, PotB, which is technically a semistealth, not a permastealth. I only make this…
The players we fought were in no way bad. I'm also not saying that Emblem doesn't make a difference, it does. But it's also not as out of control as most people seem to have ingrained in their minds. There are ways to counter it, and many situations in which it's actually worse than a Waters, which costs far, far less.
On the flip side of the deal, before I had my Emblem, I was in a premade and queued against another premade. We had 1 Emblem, they had 4, and we won. We're not 'pro' by any means, I'm not trying to give that impression. The number of Emblems does help for sure, but at the same time, if your group is coordinating their…
Going to preface: I run a bilethorn TR, and I have an emblem. However, I don't always equip the emblem, depending on the opposing team, as it has some disadvantages. When you get to a moderately high level of play, people are smarter than your average low-end pug. As soon as that grass pops up, people are usually smart…
I'm only going to reply to the last sentence of this... Any Semi-stealth/Bilethorn TR who is running both Smoke and Dazing is doing it wrong. REALLY wrong. Any good one will be running ITC, SS, and a third skill which is optional, but with a few limits. Smoke bomb really isn't something you'd want to use versus another TR,…
Swap out Impact for Path of the Blade. Lashing would work as well, but it's less reliable, and a bit less damage, though more bursty. I don't play a hardcore node-holding semi-stealth role like when regen was the meta, it feels more like our role is to back-cap if there is only 1, MAYBE 2 people (emphasis on maybe. It…
Another point not yet brought up is that lifesteal is nerfed both by the healing depression, and the lack of damage. And all our sets waste stat points, and the T2 Grim sets have it as the 2-piece set bonus. That's even more wasted stats for PvP as it is now. Lifesteal is great in PvE, but is completely useless in PvP, and…
Having been the TR on the receiving end of that, impact was absolutely worthless. It's a fairly close range ability as it is, and having such low damage, it was actually better for him to just cloud of steel me than it was to waste time throwing impacts. And yeah, the shadow strike was funny when it crit for more than an…
Read the post above yours. It will hurt permas, but will hurt other forms of TR builds even more. So if anything, it'll force people who don't play permastealth to go closer to that route.
Actually, this effects the non-stealth TRs just as much, if not more, since they can't just stealth and wait for ITC to come back up to let them land 1 flurry without getting cc'd.
Agreed. I'd like to know if the Duelist's Flurry immunity was removed intentionally, or by accident. It's not as if people couldn't just run the other direction when we start the second swing and get out of Duelist's Flurry, even without burning a dodge. The rest of the post is spot on as well, especially about Impact Shot.
The problem with this stat is that in PvP, fights are already lasting too long in many cases. In the PvP community, almost all of the classes are stacking regen, and many are stacking high health. The burst fights you hear about with a player getting 1-shot by lashing blade is generally from ungeared players, or…
Just a guess, I have no evidence to back this up. Players can (I think?) get more damage resistance than bosses. You're likely at the armour penetration cap in PvE, but there is no cap in PvP. That would mean that since SE ignores defense, the damage would be nearly constant, only effected by power/damage. Dazing and…
Alright, thanks for the advice. I guess for now I will stick with this character. If I reroll I would be sticking with human anyways most likely, with drow or tiefling as a possible option (I never could stand surface elves or orcs... that's just me being picky.) I knew I needed gear to make the permastealth build work.…
