  • I don't see why anyone would mind Knight's Valor in a dungeon. It's a legitimately useful ability. Sure, it causes a slight framerate issue which might be noticeable on lower end systems, but it's really not that bad. However, having Knight's Valor on in public and in solo areas is honestly rude and insulting. Not only are…
  • Yes. It is personal preference. I understand that some people do see NPCs as grey blobs that give dailies. Those people will likely never understand my perspective. I personally think the tiny delay of re-mounting is more than worth it. I always dismount at NPCs and don't find it the least bit annoying. The time it takes…
  • People can totally talk to mounted adventurers. But people cannot breathe inside a pile of overlapping horses. So it's not that people are next to NPCs. It's that they are literally on them, overlapping.
  • That certainly depends on the NPC. I could probably mount and dismount 10-15 times in the time it takes to be allowed to click on Merchant Prince Wakanga O'tamu or Bruenor Battlehammer. And again, immersion in the game world is a factor for a lot of people. NPCs are not just blobs that you click on for dailies. They are…
  • Oh no! You'd have to mount up again. And that takes almost a whole second. Unbearable. And just so other people can see and enjoy the game world? Completely unnecessary.
  • This thread has the word spoilers in the title.
  • I have to disagree. In the quest mentioned above, "Chapter 7: Crashing the Cultists", Minsc and Drizzt have a conversation where it is revealed that Minsc had a Bhaalspawn friend and that Dynaheir died after the events of BG1. That seems pretty spoilerific to me.
  • Spoilers are spoilers regardless of age. And I do address the age in my original post. As for Minsc himself, I did not say that he is boring. He is just of very poor quality. A one-trick pony. A HAMSTER joke repeated ad nauseam. Which is a lot less than he was in the Baldur's Gate games. And it's honestly a shame to see a…
  • And it just happened again. This time I was disconnected for all of 5 seconds, and still got thrown out of the instance when I returned. This is not fair.
