Because huge swords and axes don't do damage in real world either. You're better of poking giants and monstas with wooden sporks.

I can launch and patch all 3 from CO launcher, same with STO and NW. No Arc needed...

Putting everyone under one server isn't going to happen. Don't worry. Maybe next year, when the player numbers have decreased enough.

All the D's and Zen go to Exchange Balance. There you can withdraw what you like. It's not like the whole D/Zen transfer character to character is something new. That's how it's been working in Champions Online since the beginning of whole Zen/Questionite/VulkanEars/Diamonds introduction.
