  • I had two drop during CB, both within minutes of each other in the Neverdeath Graveyard. I haven't seen any since that.
  • The fee does spring up to 12.5% when the size of the sale gets to a certain point. Not sure where that is, but I know I have seen it on some of my sales.
  • As has been mentioned time and time again, it is becoming an industry practice. The producers (not the devs) know that people will pay to play the game when it isn't quite polished. Why shouldn't they go with it if the market will bear it? No one forces people to spend money on the games.
  • I believe (and may be wrong) that you don't have to actively do anything, other than interact with Profession nodes - the event just indicates that the results of your interactions (the loot) will be better during that time period.
  • This is so sig-worthy. On the OP's note, I have to say that I do feel the same - not so much that the reward is too low, but that there is very little incentive to complete it three times! The same skirmish done over and over is not my idea of fun, but I have done a few just to keep the daily rewards up, which is…
  • The problem, of course, is that would limit dye sales - you could create alts just to get the dyes for your main character. Not saying that is a bad thing or a good thing, but it would have a significant impact.
  • I am not a coder by any stretch of the imagination, but I have worked on more than a few database designs, and the sheer volume of code that something like this would encompass is massive - hundreds of thousands of lines of code just for the AH alone. And yes, one tiny little error on one innocuous looking line of code…
  • Or if you aren't going to be, as I noted earlier, able to change them for a time. Every night when I go to bed, I queue up four tasks that each take eight hours. So I can complete four eight hour tasks in that eight hour period, which pay off say 2000 AD plus XP and some copper, rather than the four one hour tasks which…
  • What if you are going to be busy (say going to bed?) for the next eight hours, and unable to re-queue another task? Then the longer task pay off will be better. Now, if a player wakes up every hour on the hour to re-queue their crafting tasks, then two things are evident. Firstly, they will get the best payoffs from their…
  • In a word, no. The packs are and were unique for that exact reason, so that not every single Founder would be the same. We knew what we were buying when we bought it. One of the reasons (other than the main one - I am cheap) that I bought the Guardian pack rather than the Hero pack was that the spider was something I could…
  • OOC: Couple of quick questions for you, as you have intrigued me. 1) What is the current size of the guild? 2) What size are you aiming for? 3) Any long term goals you can share?
  • Comparable does not mean exact. Yes, the fluctuating price on the AD to Zen market means that they would have a significant challenge keeping it the same. But comparable is easy. I would still expect it to point players to the Zen market - they need to make money - but making it ludicrous to buy the upgrades defeats the…
  • As the poster directly below you noted, if you are saving/grinding Astral Diamonds, you would be better served by converting them to Zen and buying a Rank 3 mount, which is account wide. So the player is better served doing that From PWE's perspective, it makes more sense for the price to be comparable - such a complete…
  • Which, if we think about it makes the whole pricing even more odd. For 4,000 Zen you can buy a Rank 3 mount once, and every character on your account gets it. If you buy one mount, for gold in game, and then upgrade it, you have spent 50% more to get one mount for one character. In short, the costs make no sense, not even…
  • Ah! And here I was waiting. That would explain it though. Oh well, a couple gold to the Emporium then. Thanks Starkaos.
  • Anyone? Have two burning a hole in my inventory.
  • Here's the thing, and it is important, we aren't competing. I suck at PvP in every game - skill in PvP is way more important than gear, especially here where all the gear will let me do is run away faster. In PvE, we are definitely not competing, and the only way I might have a slight advantage would be my ability, via the…
  • I can'thelpbut wonder, every time one of these threads starts, why people consider the cash shop items to be essential or required. Nice to have, you bet. But essential? Not even close. I've played two characters into the fifties now, and not spent one cent on the shop. Granted, I am a founder, so I have a mount and…
  • Look to the little glowing diamond symbol on the top of your screen. That is the Astral Diamond Exchange and your AD are there until such time as you claim them. REMEMBER - the AD is for your account, not a particular character, so if you take it on one character and then delete that character, you will lose all your AD.
  • Yes, I like the overall look. I would like to see some more variation - all members of the same class look basically the same. But hopefully that will change as the game matures and more and more is added. <- Glass is half full kind of guy.
  • Dyes do drop. They are bloody rare, but I have looted a blue dye, and one of my pug-mates got a red dye on a dungeon the other day. Rarer than snake shoes, but they do drop.
  • What kind of "loot box" are you referring to? Every container that I have seen thus far has immediately transferred its contents to my inventory without any action, other than interacting with the container in the first place.
  • One per character.
  • The coins do not expire at all, so long as you Invoke at least once per 24 hours. You can only earn one coin per 24 hours, so earning seven is a simple matter of invoking once a day for seven days in a row.
  • This is temporary. Once the volume settles down, or if it stays this high then the devs will likely add servers, things will get down to normal logins. It is day one. Launch day, sort of. So everyone and their dog logged in today. It will get better.
  • All purchases, including character slots, were wiped and refunded to your Zen account between BW 4 and the Open Beta. Your Zen should be there, if it isn't just contact support and they'll get you taken care of.
  • 300k a day? While I understand your frustration, I think you may be putting too much of that onus on PWE. While it is certainly convenient to remove the enchantments, it is by no means required - the things drop like candy. Why bother spending AD to remove the when you can just as easily replace them with stuff that you…
  • Nope, they got keys to give out for access on the Closed Beta weekends. Those keys have no effect on Open Beta. The only way, as above posters have said, to get in prior to the 30th is to have either the HotN or Guardian pack. Keys will not get anyone in.
  • Yeah, the bug was waaaaay more prevalent in PE than anywhere else. Almost every time I tried to go to PE I would be crossing my fingers. I thought it was PE exclusive, but then it happened in the pirates zone (can't recall the name at the moment) once, and that ruled out exclusively PE problems. But I think you are…
  • Yes, you will need to unbind any bound mount or companion if you want to mail them to someone else (or to yourself to transfer it to another character). That does cost AD. I am uncertain if the mounts gained from Founders Packs (which I am not certain you are talking about) can be mailed - I strongly doubt that they can,…
