Here's an excellent video of L33 gameplay resulting in a wipe - link Someone linked an earlier part of these videos attempting to prove Clerics have no trouble at all with the self-heal situation. This is the last video in that gameplay session (the wipe). Everyone including the Cleric (or almost everyone, think one of the…
It shows they didn't want to show actual gameplay of a Cleric running around in circles while the rogues chase after swatting at the mob's tail in futility. Then rezzing the downed cleric every so often (or trying to). That wouldn't look quite as good for the montage. I think we all are agreed on that.
Here's a Cleric actually soloing!...but then using what looks like GM haxx to spawn not one but two companions (after trying several others out and de-spawning them) to help them fight a mob 15 levels lower...note the Cmd commands in chatbox - L57 Cleric vs L42 mob + GM haxx and 2 companions = WIN Oh lawd - we're in…
(wasn't allowed to make a new thread on Clerics, as apparently one is enough per person) - so, without further ado, Clerics I present to you...The NEW! Cleric Montage Video ...and it is hilarious. I love how they're pitting L57 Clerics in full parties against L25 mobs. They didn't seem to show Clerics vs their own level…
Rogues do not use a lot of potions, even later, especially compared to what the Clerics need to use, and this starting really early in the game. Just need to watch the Rogue video to see this (watch how many times the healer goes down, then notice how that Rogue doesn't touch potions - he's perfectly happy letting the…
They stated they are planning on keeping the self-heals low. The bugs made this worse, but removing the bugs still leaves self-heals in a terrible place, which the devs state they are happy about. In pvp Clerics are just a free kill. In solo play Clerics fail when compared to any other class, none of which have been nerfed…
Look, other classes simply do not need to pot as much as a Cleric, because the other classes did not have their class feature nerfed. No point lying about it, all the Clerics know this.
You don't need aoe as a rogue, the mobs fall down so fast you just don't get hit by any of them, because you're moving around taking them out too quickly to take any damage.
That's nothing compared to what the real DPS (rogue) can do - just with regular fast attacks. That aoe has a long cooldown. Cleric without self-heals is nothing more than an extremely weak DPS, and because they take mobs down so much slower than a real DPS, they spend more time taking hits and need to pot far more than…
In solo it's not enough damage or heals to get by - having the heal skills equipped means you don't do enough damage, and don't have good enough heals to heal the all damage you've taken while you were slooowly killing the mobs; having the damage skills equipped means you STILL don't do enough damage compared to a real DD…
I watched that, and the rogues hardly ever took damage, while the cleric kept dying and needing help. That's enough info right there to show how unbalanced cleric combat now is. Rogue is easy mode by comparison. You should probably stop posting that video unless you're wanting a nerf.
They said the self-heals would remain low. This means the cleric will still struggle, unless other benefits are added to the cleric to compensate for the nerfing of their class feature. Which I'm prepared to say right now isn't going to happen. They are happy with the direction of the cleric nerf.
You realise that to get a stun we need to push two buttons...when chances are the prime moment has gone for laying down that needed stun. Stuns are usually a quick use skill.
The cleric in BW2 wasn't a PURE healer already - clerics already just added to the mix in keeping the team alive...there was no need to do what they did, given heal potions also get less effective as you level, unless it's to make the game so punishing at later levels that we buy their stupid $15 health stone just to…
Not the same as actually experiencing it - if you had, you would've been like the rest of us and saying "FIX IT NAO" rather than saying how great and incredibly clever it was. Aggro/AI - it's still poor mechanics.
Exactly, and this will mean hardly anyone bothers leveling a Cleric, then the dungeons have to be run on pots alone. Which as a dev said, won't be enough at higher levels...frankly I suspect they're trying to push us all towards using that $15 health stone in the cash shop...but first will see what they do to fix the mess…
The dog was fine last BW2, but in BW3 was hopeless. The dog stayed nice and healthy but I certainly didn't, and I took all the damage, not being able to heal myself properly. Ended up taking out all my heal skills and slotting DPS, because the self-heals were that useless, it was *slightly* more efficient to try DPS mobs…
I ended up parking my poor Cleric in the character Select screen, after having got myself appropriately beaten up and bloodied - figured that was enough torture for the devs to datamine from here into the next week.
Would be better to buff the Devoted Cleric heals. People still need to solo content (most people will be doing that) and won't have access to a real cleric. People are saying the problem with Cleric heals is the class isn't scaling correctly at higher levels. The cleric companion works because it's a simple equation…
Pretty bad actually^ Point is the class got nerfed, and the aggro mechanic was terrible. You wouldn't know that, because you 1) didn't play a cleric and 2) didn't group at all.
