I like the clerics that are actually in the game, but not all leaders can (or should) be divine leaders, for the sake of creativity and diversity. I'd even be happy if for instance a nature-type leader had basically all the same abilities a DC had, just with the effects redone to make it look all leafy and stuff instead of…
I'd love to see a druid, bard, and paladin, in roughly that order. I'm not sure how well a paladin would be differentiated from the GF, but all three sound like fun to play. :o
My laptop runs an AMD card. It used to have graphical lag but has been running better than ever since Module 5 (especially after the recent fix of a slow memory leak the devs noted)...except for the textures randomly dropping, similarly to what's seen in the screenshot in the original post. Occasionally a similar effect is…
This is a known issue (see thread: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?799411-Graphics-problems-Texture-issues) that people have been seeing since roughly the release date of Mod 5. In another thread (can't remember where) one of the devs made a post that they were aware of the texture shenanigans and were…
So now on the actual topic of the thread: I dunno about you guys, but the endless gear progression actually demotivates me. I don't even care enough to get artifact gear because the constant grind for refining it just doesn't appeal to me. (Now, if it could be upgraded by doing quests in a new adventure zone, slaying a Big…
I don't PvP, but the issues you point out with PvP sound totally valid and collectively are one of the reasons I don't PvP (the other being I have zero competitive streak, which no dev can fix). The only thing is, adjusting classes too much would start to ruin everyone's day in PvE again; the TR changes, for example, have…
Everything's working fine for me except the chat of course, which I don't actually mind much -- it's nice to run around the festival without listening to people arguing, for a change....
I have never seen that before. It looks like something specific to your machine, not the game, but that's all I can guess at. I'm afraid I don't know how to turn it off.
GS is more relevant than ever since we have crazy items with hugely high stats now, but it would be better if it were weighted to take stat distribution into account.
8.5 hours until the new year in the Midwestern U.S. Turns out New Year's Eve isn't as much fun when you don't drink and the nearest store has run out of egg nog. Happy New Year!
I never have texture issues in combat, but I do get weirdness with graphics ever since Mod 5. Often after relogging or a cutscene, but just as often at completely random times when I'm not doing anything, the textures all just drop (for lack of a better term) and everything becomes flat polygons. Literally everything --…
That's me being dumb; I work in education, so I forget that it's not a holiday for most people in "normal" private-sector jobs. Happy New Year, either way -- hope you guys who have to work get to enjoy your evening. Thanks for keeping us posted, Akro. I feel bad now that it's turning out to be such a big problem. D:
Dude, there are only so many ways you can say "We know there's a problem and we're working on a fix, we'll tell you once we have something." Chill out.
You probably didn't see the post because of how fast the thread is moving, but it's a huge problem affecting all their games -- not just you. They're working on a fix.
Well, I needed to quit procrastinating on a research project and do some housecleaning anyway. I guess this is a good reason to actually do something productive and play later. Also I'm pretty sure it's not a good idea to link to a group's webpage that sells DDoS attack software, but I dunno the forum rules on that as well…
Irritating as it is (especially for those of us who don't use social media), most people are logged in to Facebook/Twitter all the time and check it before they'll ever check a game forum. You'd think they could post here first and just link it on social media though....
The redirect to a maintenance page isn't really an answer -- that's probably just the generic page they have it redirect to, since usually it's down because of maintenance (not because of unforeseen server weirdness like we're having now).
My dad used to work a similar kind of job. They'd have some people on hand during the holidays in case of minor mishaps, but for big stuff going kaboom, they'd have to call the expert (i.e. my dad) to fix it -- remotely if possible, or wait for him to drive in to work if not possible to do it remotely. From the outside,…
Please buy all my random junk while you're at it. I could use the AD. :D Joking aside, is anyone who's still logged in noticing issues (aside from the fact that it's really really quiet with all of us being stuffed into the soundproof box of Server Connection Timed Out)?
I get that a lot sometimes too; it just fritzes and logs me out instead of changing character. Usually I can log straight back in, but with whatever's going on, I can't do that today. It just sits there and eventually times out.
It started with a mass server disconnect for just about everybody around the time this thread was posted. A lot of people were able to get back into the game, but friends lists were left blank and chat was laggy. The mass disconnect happened for almost everyone in all my custom channels (including me) and in multiple…
I would play Foundry quests a lot more if this were a thing; as it is, I just don't have time for Foundry quests after blasting through dailies. Fantastic idea.
For HRs, switching between melee and ranged is your Tab ability. It's really kinda like playing two classes at once; in ranged stance you have your bow and your encounter powers, then you hit Tab and you fight at close range with melee encounter powers (which, by the way, have separate cooldowns from your ranged encounter…
Out of curiosity, what happens when you use the auction house? Do you not get stuff in the mail even for that? Or does it allow system messages through but not player-sent messages?
That's exactly the bug. His inbox thinks it's full when in reality it's empty, so he can't receive messages (because "full") but can't delete messages to make room (because "empty"). At least, that's what it looks like to me.
