So as we all have been victim of the dreaded "party boot", I have to express my opinion and hopefully get some of you #%$#oles to understand something.
Gear score is not a representation of a players ability to run a dungeon. Time after time I have proven this wrong. example, My HR (trapper) is 11.7GS and 99% I have out DPS'd rogues that are 13k GS. On top of that, I also contributed in controlling adds in the room for these rogues to zerg the boss. But yet, when you see that I'm not at the same level as you in GS, you boot me. The majority of these booters are europeans who do this. Now us Americans are not innocent in the matter. We're mostly booters of loot. So we're screwed either way.
Actually, DPS is not race. Yes, it helps burn adds or the boss down but w/o any kind of strategy, it doesn't help. We can do the boss 15 times and have 40+ million DPS but if we can't beat the boss, then its a FAIL.
Honestly, they're changing the kicking system soon, but I don't see it ameliorating most of the problems.
What they should really do is just have an option to enter Epic dungeons/skirmishes privately, because IMO the most common cause of kicking is groups of 2-3 friends who just want to keep the loot rolls to themselves - something I do not see as unethical, and will only help inflate the market, something I don't think PW frowns upon.
Most of the content sans CN well ok mainly CN can be run with a strong trio of geared players.
