At the moment once you log on characters are arranged in chronological order with oldest characters on top and newest on bottom. How about letting us rearrange characters? This way we can move characters we're currently focusing on to the top instead of having to scroll down each and every time. Warlocks are coming....
This is a small quality of life improvement, but would be extremely welcome.
IF that was against me, it was far from hostile. The question was genuine and not even meant to be sarcastic.
It does appear sarcastic - but I've seen enough of your posts to know and understand you don;t mean it that way. You're somewhat like me in that you speak (write) frankly, political-correctness be-dammed.
Now, in response to your original comment:
YES: One for each class IS sufficient - but as you know once you get a character to level 60 it becomes a grind. And since there is real money invested (character-only mounts and companions, for example) you don;t want to delete and re-roll. Hence, if you have the slots then why not create more new characters?
And since we have two of each class (that's ten, soon to be twelve if you go that far) then a scrolling bar appears because now your characters are hidden from view. Your main may no longer be your main, and it is relegated to Invoking and Professions camper.
Now as to the OP: Manually rearranging character select screen is fine, but I like the Star Trek Online style better: When you log into a character that character is automatically placed in the top spot. This allows quick access and also help one keep track of which are played most recently (near the top) and which are more neglected (near the bottom).
Even if you have only five characters and never see the scroll bar, does it affect you in any way if this function were to happen? Yes - but not negatively as far as I can tell.
Omg lol. "scroll down"?? Do I even want to know how many character you have? Isn't one of each class sufficient?
Maybe I'm just unaware of the way to do it, but I would really love to play my Pally (slot 20) on the preview server every once in a while - just currently I do not know how I could, as I can only copy the top ten chars...
...if this is a problem caused due to my ignorance, I'd be grateful for advice...
Anyway, freely arranging the character list is not a bad thing, I just never seen it done before. I'd like to note that you can decide what the top character is using the gameprefs file, but sure. Go for it. Put it in the QoL thread.
Please check the last post date in a thread before you post a reply. This thread has been resurrected from the grave and walked around a while, now to the grave it shall return.

I wouldn't really like that. At least when it's not toggleable to "off".
Why?
Think Leadership tasks, think serial processing, think tight timing...
...it would make my life more complicated without real benefit (to me).

Exactly, where's the harm?
I'm supporting this appeal.
I think scrolling starts at 9 characters (I have 10 because 2 sets of doubles use different paragon paths ). You play your way, others play thier way.
