Hero speed bonus

I might be having a bad-math-day but.. It seems to me the +50% speed for a hero isn't working correctly on the Leadership rank 21 task "Protect Magical Goods Market"

It's a 12 hour task. When you apply a Hero, it becomes an 8h task.

50% of 12 hours is 6 hours, so I would expect a +50% bonus to reduce the timer to 6 hours rather than 8 hours. 12h - 8h = 4 hours (the amount of time currently be deducted). 4 hours is a 25% reduction. So... it appears Heros are being treated as Adventurers.

Imagine you are driving a car 100 miles per hour, and you want to travel 100 miles. The trip will take you 1 hour.

Now, increase your speed by 50%. Your new speed will be 150 miles per hour. The trip will take you 100 / 150 = .67 hours at the new speed.

ok... I get my math might be lacking... but, your equation results in a 33% reduction, so that's still more than the 25% reduction I'm seeing with a Hero in this particular task.

12 hour task with a single Adventurer becomes about 9.5 hours. 9 hours 35 min or something.

You're just having a bad math moment.

Edit: It takes 2 heroes (or any two purple dudes or any 4 blue dudes) to finish a profession task in half the original time. Half the original time = 100% speed bonus

What equation includes a 50% speed bonus on a 12 hour project and results in 8h?

What equation includes a 25% speed bonus on a 12 hour project and results in 9.5h?

WAI, kvet. I know it may sound confusing, I mean the tooltip, but it works this way: all extra heroes (or any other person who gives you speed) just add % to initial 100%, i.e. 12h=100%, if you add 1 hero it will be 12h=150%, thus 100%=12h*(100/150)=8h. And I'm with you, because when you see a 50% offer in supermarkets, it's not a 33% reduction but a true 50%, so, if something cost 10$, with 50% off it will cost 5$.

From my understanding, the formula is [Task duration]/1+speed bonus. So, with a 50% speed bonus, it'd be [Task duration]/1.5. Thus, for a 6 hour task, you'd get 6/1.5 = 4
