Bard possible

I was reading another post talking about the holy trinity and they need to add another heal and tank class....I have never played a DnD game , but played a Bard in Rifts and it was healer type ..not sure how Bards work in DnD but would like to see that type of class in the game.So anyway has anyone heard of this being in the game.

    Bards, for the most part in 4e, like clerics, are primary Leader role characters which would mean *some* healing capabilities. Unlike MMOs, Healer is not a role per se in PnP 4e, but most character types under the Leader role have some healing capabilities.

    What does that mean? It means that there is currently only one Leader role in this game at present. Will there be other character types fulfilling this role after the game has launched? Probably.

    Will some type of Bard be one of those? Possibly.

    That is all anyone outside of the development team knows at this point in time...

    Bard should be the next class. 3/4 warriors - gf, gwf, and hr (+op). 2 priests dc and op. 2 mages - cw and sw. Only 1 rogue - tr. Best option for another rogue would be bard imo. tr is basically already an assassin and acrobat as well as a thief. Some people may want druid or illusionist, but I think they can wait longer for those :)
