Quickly gearing up: Do Rhix' dailies and Dungeon / Skirmish hour runs to get AD, buy blue rarity of your current level armor (or 1, 2, maybe 3 below) off the AH. Do that every three or four levels.
Alternatively, run the three man non-epic Dungeons over and over until the stuff you need is given to you by RNGesus... ...and sell all else for some moderate AD on the AH.
But really gearing up makes little sense at level 60. The level cap raise makes that somewhat pointless in any game, and this game's cheesy armor-bound-HP-pool mechanics even more so here...
1st off stay away from the campaign zones, it's a waste till you hit level 70.
The Dragons Campaign from Harper Boward, is enough to get you started, just keep chugging along.
Gear: Either buy *AH* or run the 3 person dungeons for it - this can also net you a "little" AD.
AD: #1 *LEADERSHIP* #2 Crafting
Crafting AD is actually very easy and no your not selling the high end stuff, instead sell things like witches necklaces in jewelcrafting, you make the stuff that is needed for the next level up stuff. Witches Necklaces sell for about 1-2k each, I am sure it's true for other trades but this is the one I have been doing. I have made a few hundred thousand ad from it, for crafting 3 and running around doing quests to level up and when it's done grab then and toss on AH, repeat. so you can make 3-6k ad every 20ish minuets.
You "can" do the daily dungeons, skirmishes, and foundry, personally I don't waste my time trying to do them. I'll grab the quests from Rhix just in case I happen to hop into one, but I do not actively try to do them for AD, 30 mins to 2 hours for 3k rough ad I'd rather grind up and get into elol, and kessels.
If you are having a hard time give a holler in zone or the lfg and team up.
Not so secret secret: Get a mic!!!! The game has a built in voice chat and you can "talk" with your party so you can all take the same quests in the ele evil areas.
I had read somewhere that the scaling on the 70 campaign zones was outa whack (or should i say the stat scaling) so you were actually stronger at 60 then at 70. Thats why i was doing such.
So ill focus on getting to 70 first now, then run dailies/dungeons to gear up. Thanks!
I just hit 60 today and the campaigns are kicking my ***. I can almost defeat each dungeon but i have to play super careful, and chug so many pots.
Any advice for a fresh 60 as far as quickly gearing up?
Also what is a decent way to make AD?
There's some really good advice provided here so far.
If you haven't already, try and 'gear up' with some rare items as suggested. This will make grinding quite a bit easier.
Once you have obtained some rare gear, there's nothing wrong with doing enough of each of the campaigns to get the first two boons. These are generally pretty simple and quick to obtain. You can generally buy your way to the first two boons from Sharandar with the potions to exchange for crescents (not sure on the names but they should be pretty close descriptions!).
Having the first two boons from each area will also assist you in grinding further as they will provide you with XP (through obtaining them in most cases) and some additional stats.
Consider joining a guild or channel such as NW_Legit_Community as they are often a good source of assistance and advice, particularly as you can find other players willing and able to join/help you.
Get to 70 ASAP and, as soon as possible, either grind the Vigilance quests in Spinward Rise or complete enough of the Tyranny of Dragons campaign to be able to obtain/make your artifact main hand weapon for when you are 70.
You can receive your artifact off hand from Sgt. Knox as soon as you hit 70.
Once you're 70, consider doing the T1 dailies and PVP for items to sell for AD, and Glory and Seals to buy better gear.
In short, if you want to gear up quickly then you have to be prepared to spend AD or $ to do so, otherwise it requires time to grind.
