im trying to get xp before tiamat tomorrow on preview and get my cw up to 70 to go play with the devs. i am currently switching between drowned shore and fiery pit when i run out of quests in one area i switch. im at 66 right now and its taking quite awhile. so anyone got any tips? i have azures rank 5s in my utility slots currently.
1. Make sure you're using all available util slots with azure stones (head, arms, feet, neck, and belt). You can get cheap green artifact belts, and necks with util slots. Necklace of mourning is blue and has a util slot. Check AH for other items unique to your class that may have a util slot. For example, the GWF used to have a main hand or off hand that had a util slot.
2. Buy the inscribed shirt and pants from the zen store for a 20% XP bonus. Once you buy them, you can put them on every toon in your account. Of course, you can also buy xp boosters from the zen store but those only apply to one character. You can also buy some XP booster scrolls in the AH but I haven't checked on prices for them. You might also check your inventory for any books of experience you may have that were acquired on toons that are > 60th level.
3. Do the 2 dailies from the Druid in PE each day..they give good XP.
4. Dailies from the quest givers in PE for Well of Dragon's quests give decent XP
5. See if you can get quests in other high level zones that offer decent XP (Rothe Valley, Mount Hotenow or Whispering Caverns). At around level 65-68 I noticed I had the initial quest to Rothe in my journal so turned it in for the few hundred XP (on my way to kill the dragon there), then found I could take quests in this zone for much more XP than I was getting from the WoD daily dragon quests. The best part was mobs didn't even aggro on me here unless I attacked them first. Swept through the zone at a pretty good pace.
6. Newest zones (drowned shores etc.) had a few quests you could take that were worth more XP than vigilant quests too. If you take quests in these new zones, try to get quests that can be completed at the same time or are in close proximity to each other. For example, you may take 2 quests that can be completed in the same mine.
