Seriously since mod 6 I finished VT about 50 times and got 0 profit from it.
Maybe chosen 0,1% of the players with 5k GS and Transcedent Enchantments can run through it for 3 minutes, but it takes about hour for average players to Kill her and what for ? She gives NOTHING.
I think the OP is talking about the abysmal loot tables in the dungeons , they need to be seriously padded out with more stuff e.g RP (big rp gems 20-50k rp ) unique transmutes , dungeon specific companions etc etc , atm the loot tables are bare .
Only reward i saw there was choice between two account bound blue rings which i did not even bother to take from the chest. Nothing stands for Nothing.
Second chest gives less then it costs to open it too.
Thats a bit more of a definite explanation on what is given.

Who told u m... that u need to take what is in the secondary chest?
U know, there is an option 1 and option 2.
So u make **** key, and keep checking evry run if there is anything worthy in that chest.
He already said it takes an hour to do the dungeon. That is not something one would want to 'farm'. If there are no good items in 50 runs, that's 50 hours of gameplay for no return. Why would anyone do that?

I am actually willing to try to do Valinda tower today.
I am all moderatly preped with my totally cool blue T1 equip.
Aware of the fact people will get killed and we ll get wiped a few times.
But your thread perked my interest.
I am going to run that thingy as many times possible just to see how many times we can do it and how much time it is needed.
And i must not forget the loot counting as well. Let's see how it goes.

Seems to be the same as every chest in the game. I've yet to see anything worth the cost of any key.

You want the artifact set without paying? You grind the dungeon. This being said from doing VT 273 times, mix of 1/2 and 2/2 for the fallen dragon offhand when it was bis. Want to be lazy? Get out your wallet. Want free? Play free, and grind your gear. EL OH EL at guy demanding 20k-50k rp drops, same message.

It's about a balance between risk and reward. If the reward is not there, then that signifies a poor design and not something that will attract people to do.
If someone runs VT 50 times, I would certainly hope they would have received some reward. Even doing it 25 times there should be some payoff. Otherwise, there is a serious disconnect between this being a fun game and or it just being tedious work.

Good luck with that!
If I did VT, one run would consume my usual game time allotment for the day . . .

This is a out people whining for instant gratification from a free game. On this particular note, I would hope devs give an eff you. Risk versus reward. 0 risk, potential reward. If the reward is not worth spending your time or your money, you are not the target demographic. Casual players still want to get the gear. The mistake the old dev team made was the overkill buffs, HOWEVER, if VT is taking you 'hours' to complete, leave the raid and find a better group. Again, 4+ item level here, and I wipe all the time in pve, including vt which i need NOTHING from and previously stated i had a horrible grind for the offhand. When the run stops being fun, I leave, and either do something else, or try again with a different group. Rocket science, it is not. Laziness is fine, just don't expect to get the best stuff for free, with out putting in some 'work'.

What target demographic would like to spend their time getting BoP junk blue items?
There is a big difference between expecting "free" stuff and wasting your time. If they make something fun and at least has a payoff, then folks will run it. Drop the same junky worthless blue stuff and why bother?

Some people just don't understand healthy debate and are quick to rattle off short-sighted insults. I blame the parents . . .

the cws bis artifact set is out of VT.. so if you get one, you can sell it for a good price. (unless the cw is just going pure dps, then lostmouth is better)
however, its pretty rare it appears.
other then that.. no there is no reason to run it. I prefer to run elol and have done it about 50 times from the start.. ill ive gotten is alliance stuff at 3k return.
none of the dungeons are really worth running, and the cost of keys are pretty high.
I usually tell people , if you dont want to spend AD, you can pretty much solo the 3 man stuff, run it during DD, get the 3 k reward using free key and 3k for daily and you can sell the lvl 70 blues for 1-10k apiece.. so you average about 10k a run... do it on 3-4 toons and you can earn 30-40k during that time frame.
Its a better return then running the t1s honestly.
or ... well ya.. pvp a bunch this mod and come back later to see if anything is worth running.
you used to be able to farm t1s even with purchased keys and make enough to warrant using them.. its not longer the case now

sorry we can't have worthwhile loot in this game, because bots.
all loot has to be throttled thru the "costs more to make the key than the loot is worth" system.
sorry.

...I absolutely doubt there have been significant changes to the team, apart from some chair shuffling on the higher echelons.
