In any case, this is an MMO, and that means things will take time, dedication and effort. If one is not open to such a game, one should not be playing MMOs in the first place.

And this... is the exact reason I dislike any sort of XP boost. It should take months to level from 1 to 70, not days.

I like the journey. Not so much the destination. So here's hoping Mods 7 and 8 will provide more journey.

It doesn't have rewards, that was prior mods but at least it can be a bit of a challenge and fun to play if your character has been around forever.

Sadly farming is not rewarded in this game. The annoyances put into place force one to either give up or buy Zen and that is the truth.

Dragon Horde enchants now cut you off after you have formed for a certain, yet undisclosed, amount of time. XP from farming is nominal at best. RP from enchant drops are decent but the amount needed to level artifacts have skyrocketed. Dungeons drop only BOP gear and I have yet to see a GMOP drop in the new mod. Guess what, updating your artifacts requires GMOP.

In every other MMO farming is rewarded. It is a necessary evil that is rewarded by upgraded gear, or currency to spend. It is not a fun task but has always been a way to grow your character. The tradeoff for such a boring and repetative task was that you gained gear or currency to progress your character. This game used to reward farming. Instead, fueled by greed and under the guise of busting botters (which is BS, just another play on your wallet), farmers are shunned and nerfed. If you truely only farmed for your items it would take you several lifetimes to reach best in slot.

This behavior will eventually make this game dead. New players will be discouraged and quit. The remaining players will be BiS spenders who will be bored out of their mind as there will be noone on their level to play with/against. The snake has begun eating his tail.

This is what the vast majority of players feel based on the overwhelmingly negative reaction to mod 6, a mod which almost every single player agrees, emphasizes the worst of Neverwinter and none of the best. Bugs will be fixed later, broken "features" that make a character unplayable (rank 4) will be fixed later. What will be changed now is anything what so ever to make the company more money.

Make no mistake, unless you like doing the same task over and over again literally thousands of times, this game is not a fun free to play adventure for the casual player. It is big time grinding or big money spending.

    Its time for another break.

It's a matter of perspective and some issues with acquiring better gear. My suggestions are thus:

    1. Run some leveling dungeons until you get some blue gear, (try for at least your chest armor and 1-2 other pieces).

    2. make sure to talk to Sgt. Knox and get the quest for your off-hand artifact and an epic level 70 neck item.

    3. If you have time, (and hopefully you knocked some of this out on your way to 70), do the 3 "Complete 16 vigilance quests" in Spinward Rise, in order to get your artifact main-hand.

You should now be in a position where you can complete the sets of Sharandar dailies with relative ease. You don't have to worry about Dread Ring yet, if you're finding it too difficult. The same goes for Icewind Dale and the Well of Dragons. You'll probably want to stay on top of your Tyranny of Dragons quests so as to unlock the first few boons from there, as well.

I you have time, quick runs of the leveling version of Temple of the Spider should net you 3 blue items, (just check their levels before ID-ing them, as I sometimes get sub-70 items). Use the free daily chest key and/or check what's in the chest before using up the key, to make sure the item is something you want/need. Once you have all blue gear, give Dread Ring and WoD another try.

As you accrue boons, you should be able to give the T1 dungeons a try.

Personally, I think the gear progression needs some love, and I think we need some other way of getting gear that's better than regular blues, besides the leveling dungeons.

could you name some of those leveling dungeons and after 70 what exactly am I leveling

This is IMO a much more interesting request than the old "plz nerf" thing. I do think there should be a lower tier of dungeons with slightly better blue gear (with an armor enchantment slot), like iLevel 1200 dungeons or something like that. Something to help people learning the ropes of teamwork and making them ready for the next tier of dungeons.

Heck, even a quest that gives you a "regular level 70 blue", but with an armor, weapon, or overload enchantment slot would help, (maybe even with your choice of prefix and suffix modifiers).

They are 3-man dungeons which are relatively easy to run through, and they drop blue gear from the bosses, as well as from the end chest. They are the Grey Wolf Den, Temple of the Spider, and I think the last one is Cragmire Crypts. Just check the level of the blue item before you identify it - it's not always level 70. The term "leveling dungeon" simply refers to the name that Cryptic gave these modified versions of the dungeons, in that you can also run them before level 70.
