Night of the Nine Part 1

A series of bizarre deaths force the authorities of Neverwinter to hire an investigator to track down the source and take whatever action is necessary to stop it from happening again.

Night of the Nine Part 1 is primarily a story driven adventure with low amounts of challenging combats. It has been designed for solo play, but may be played with more.

    I played with my level 60 Dc (as usual). Excellent map work and a very good story!

    We’ve had several people ask about how to lead players through a Neverwinter zone and back through again. How did you accomplish this? I am sure if you explained it you would make many people happy.

    In some of your personal names and place names you have a period after them, like “Muckdell Swamp.” This makes it a little odd when the game uses those names in a sentence.

    When you make your paragraph breaks you need another line to make the break have a full space between them. Like we have to do on the forums here.

    Detailed Notes:

    Magistrate’s Office:
    -very nice detail work. I especially liked the desk.

    Balthazar Residence:
    -when talking to Mrs. Balthazar when taking option 1 and then 1, in the 3rd dialogue box the “do” in option 2 needs to be capitalized.
    -when talking to Jenny the second time, 3rd dialogue box in “husbands” should be “husband’s”

    Karrington Residence:
    -I really liked the candles!
    -in the bedroom “Comode” should be “Commode”
    -when I searched the commode before looking at the body it vanished. So I think your “Disappear When Component Complete” has the wrong component (probably “This Component Complete?)
    -When talking to Frinko, in the first dialogue box “usefull” should be “useful”
    -the dialogue about the Wizardess is a little disjointed. It starts with an incomplete sentence and needs some more spaces between the paragraphs.

    Muckdell Swamp:
    -the ruins in the second search location are floating above the hollows in the ground. There are some floating debris details around it as well.
    -the door to the witch’s cottage is clipping oddly, like it is not flush with the wall. One of the other door details that comes with a frame might work better there.


    Ritual Place:
    -the sewer entrance needs to be tucked against the wall some more
    -some more debris and other details in the sewers would be nice.
    -you may want to put some invisible walls up to prevent people from entering the areas in the wrong order. Since I look all over that is what I did.

    Magistrate’s Office:

    -You may want to break up Cronia’s explanation into separate paragraphs to make it easier to read.

    Update to version 1.7

    Addressed many of the problems spotted by Melinden above (Thank you) also added a ton of detail to the ritual map, went back and split several of the large blocks of text into smaller paragraphs so it's easier to read. Also fixed the disappearing furniture problem. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by leading players through a NW zone and then back through. I didn't do anything I haven't before.     Update 2.1

    Added several encounters to the Ritual place in the sewers. After the summoning event, some undead spawn to keep with the fact that Niahmas causes the dead to rise in his presence. So the run back out has a purpose.

    Update: Patch fixes finished. Working on chapter 2, seems to be coming along slowly.
