so i was looking on the wiki on how to get the dragon bone weapons and it got me very confused. so what i want to know is, do you get these weapons from killing the dragons in neverdeath, ice spire, and ebon downs? or do you get them from the Tyranny of dragons campaign? i just need help clarifying

Completing heroic encounters (Dragons) in the aforementioned regions yield a very small chance of getting a dragonbone weapon.
The Tyranny of Dragon Campaign yields an Artifact Weapon

Keep in mind the only weapon drops you will get are for your class. For example a GWF will only ever have the chance at the fashion set, draconic gear (depending on what dragon you fight) and the dragon bone sword knot and dragon bone halberd

I just completed my 100th dragon fight (HE achievement window popped up) on my DC (specced for damage, not healing), 4 dragon bone Icons, 2 pants, 1 dragon bone, 2 draconic bracers, but zero dragon bone symbols. I get great success about 90% of the time, I don't zone hop into started fights or invite to overload a zone. Great Success increases your chances for the good loot, only one of the DB icons came from a non-great success result. Overloaded instances and partial fights greatly reduce your chances.

Thats some impressive luck. I've done probably 250 or so and have only ever found 2 items...

I just completed the icespire campaign level and am about to start the Rothe valley leg. I've killed Charthraxis like a dozen times. Ebon downs dragon like a dozen times and icespire dragon like 5 times. I've gotten two db halberds, 2 pants, and the knot. So it's been pretty good for me.

    Definitely has, wow O-o.
I don't know if my luck is bad, or if it has something to do with GWF doing less damage to it than most dps classes?
Doesn't mean I'll stop trying, just a little disappointed :P

Last night some guildies were talking about if being in the fight longer or doing more damage/taking hits/rev'ing etc impacts how good the loot is that you get. I'm going to have to test it out. I think all the times that I got the best drops were times that I was actually sitting there waiting for the dragon to appear and was in battle the whole time. A couple of them I only died once or didn't die at all. I'm wondering if those were the times that I got the best drops. Has anyone noticed that you only get the draconic enchantment and coins if you just quickly pop in or only hit once versus what you get when you are more engaged?

Your loot is determined by how many players partake in the encounter, nothing more. I was in Ebon Downs doing a daily and thought I'd have enough time to finish and still tag the dragon for it to count as a kill, but I screen froze when its HP was low and never ended up tagging it, nor did I heal anyone or damage mobs inside the encounter area. I wasn't even technically inside the encounter area.

I got Dragon Cult pants and Draconic Bracers, as well as the usual coins/enchant. You can tag the dragon and stand there the rest of the fight doing nothing and have as much of a chance to receive loot as you would if you did 20% of the overall damage.
