level 70 GG v Dom...wat??

Wasn't sure what to expect from pvp at level 70, I HATE grinding, so have been only doing pvp 60-69 and trying to take my time. Some people hate lvl 70 pvp, other think it is ok. So I get to lvl 70 and do some dom and gg matches.
Dom you look at your router and dc for a fraction of a second your kicked out of the match and donkey-punched with a 30 minute leaver penalty. GG seems like "just keep quing until within the first two minutes it looks like you are going to win". No penalty, no nothing.
GG matches happen as soon as I que. Dom matches take a lot longer for the que to pop. Yet dom is, to me, much more fun.
Also GG seems entirely dominated by people running premades. You capture the node closest to enemy spawn then you camp spawn the enemy team quits or feeds you kills and you wait for the timer to run out for your win. Dom is, imo, much more fun.
So why is one type of pvp so strictly controlled and the other is basically just total random do whatever you want?
