Why am I not getting any of these email promotions I keep hearing about?

First there's the Elemental Trove giveaway email which apparently went disastrously so I wrote it off, but now I heard there's been a Mercenary companion giveaway I also received nothing for: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?908871-This-coveted-companion-is-yours-to-keep!

My question is, why have I not received any of these emails? I checked that the email address on my account is correct, and I also checked my spam folder, nothing. It's a gmail account if that matters. I've checked my arc games account and can find nothing about email preferences or anything. Is there some mailing list I'm unaware of? Why does it seem like the whole community except me is getting free stuff?

    Same thing for me, no email from this or the previous giveaway. I haven't had any promotional emails since the stormrider one.

    just search your email for elemental evil as i did :)

    Steps to get there:
    Left click on your username on the top left of your post then select "    View Profile." When logged into that page on ArcGames.com, on the bottom left click on "Settings" and then on that page, click on the "Languages" tab.

    In the ArcGames.com Settings, choose your preferred language and then the bottom of those options is a check mark option for "    Allow us to send occasional newsletters and updates to your registered email address." Check this and then click the blue "Save Change" button.
