Waited days to claim, opened, was worse transmutation I have ever seen, was a real insult, a lump of bone tied together with string, what are they thinking?. That was just plain nasty.

Beggars can't be choosers :) You didn't pay a single cent to acquire the trove yet you complain about not getting what you want.

I can see the OP's point... but let's flame on him for being disappointed in the transmutation.

Well, since this isn't the first time that Cryptic has made this mistake, nor the second, nor even the third time that something like this has happened, there should have been only good rewards to get from this, not completely useless junk no one wants. Sure, it was a gift and no one paid for it but useless junk, free or not is still useless junk. All they did was upset and disappoint more people by leaving that useless junk in the trove to begin with. Me being one of them since this was the first time I had ever gotten a code. Sadly, the exploiters and a few others that were lucky enough to get a decent item have only been the ones to benefit from the gift at all, while the rest of us just got scammed with useless worthless junk. That should have been taken out after this latest fiasco so that all got a decent gift. That would have been the right and decent thing to do in this case.

Agreed- I'd rather be given no "gift" at all, instead of a piece of HAMSTER in a box.

The gift was nice, but the way I understood they were trying to do something nice for messing up the box the first time and causing all that frustration and confusion. Just making the box bound and turning the code back on is not something nice. It's fixing the problem, yes, but It's not the above and beyond I was expecting.

I think they expect to win only the best rewards when they recieve free random gifts

Well, I am one of the "unlucky". I got a trasmutation object I care nothing about....
It does not help me in any way and I can get it on the AH for a few thousand AD.
While thanks for the gift, I wish it was something I could use, even a simple runestone, not something just for show....

I think part of the problem is that the original promo, unless I'm mistaken, gave a companion. I wasn't able to claim the code for that first one - was it the exact same one as they gave out more recently, (only bound), or was it a guaranteed companion?

Exactly, the trove only drops a random elemental weapon transmute instead of any of the things listed.

No, it still could drop companions.

I got a blue Air Archon, and I heard people in /Legit channel who got green or blue archons of various types.

    No, it wasn't.

It was just the same trove you guys got "Chance of companion" - and we know that mostly means single digit percent or lower. I got the promo mail, redeemed the code, got the trove on my DC and from it got a Holy Symbol of Whatever Element... ...just didn't QQ about it.

BTW had posted that then in the Promo master thread.

All I can say is, the earth symbol transmute that I got from mine looks better than the normal Elemental Symbol. So I am not complaining.

I got the Elemental Fire transmutes for my Pally. While I'm made up that she can finally wield a sword, who on Earth designed these things? The shield in particular would look more at home in Minecraft.

If they plan on giving us a gift, it better be a gift, not a lotto box. How is it fair for someone to get a companion and someone else a weapon transmute they might not even like. Sorry, but no, this is not how you do a giveaway. Yes, they didn't have to do this, and I appreciate the thought, but if you're gonna do it you might as well do it right. Once again poor implementation of something that could have been nice.

And no, I'm not butt-hurt. There was nothing in that lotto box that I particularly wanted, but what I got was satisfactory enough.

Life isn't fair. Neither is Neverwinter.
