so new players that hit lvl 70 will have a hard time to get their POWER POINTS, because the overflow experience should be lowered , like it was at lvl 60. it's totally not rewarding.
or make mobs in dungeons/pve give higher experience.

Good point about power points, especially now that powers have 4 ranks.
The old paradigm was put points in everything, because soon enough you would have enough points to fill every power.
Now you need to be more strategic: only fill powers you plan on using (of course, sometimes you need to use points to progress), and save power points for 70 so you can get the 4th rank in the powers you use a lot.

You need 70 points spent to unlock rank 4 powers and get 70 points for leveling from 1 to 70. There are no points to save.

I never thought about this seeing as I have a ton of extra points.
This is a very valid post, good thing its bugged and several powers you CAN get to rank 4 before 70 points, so you will have a few things and then be forced to rely on farming massive EXP at 70 to get more abilities up.... That sucks...
Feel bad for new players, I think they need to swap something around and maybe have lvl 4 unlock at 65 with the current lvl 65 abilities unlocking at lvl 61.
This would atleast allow for 5+ points to get up to rank 4. Which means: 3 encounters and 2 class features can be leveled up. Alot better IMO, however still a big issue....
They seem to have really poor instructions for the newbies too. Have had to explain to a good few peeps in their leveling to 60 greens that they shouldn't be in wod, sharandar and dread ring and then of course had to ferry them to the tree in town so they could pick on where they should be and how they can then get to drowned shore. And there's other guys who don't speak english that you can't explain this to dying miserably to mobs they aren't doing much to. Cryptic seem to really hate new players a lot.

This is because every single time you level to or above 60 you get that stupid pop-up telling you to go start Sharandar, Dread Ring, etc. The game is not only not giving the correct information to new 60's, it's actively giving them bad advice.
Someone really didn't think this all the way through.

I think its because they have been so bent on giving the old vets and "geared 4 years" players something to shoot for that they have completely ignored the idea of new players joining the game. I guess theyre assuming everyone has already ground out IWD rep,BI-craftrank3, 500k+BI, full suit of upgradable new gear and 5+legendary arties
Wasn't it 450k exp on preview? Because after I leveled my HR to 70, I realized that it's now 700k exp lol. Considering the amount of exp lvl70 quests provide, how is this even remotely reasonable?
M6 almost drains your soul given how boring it is. (c) joocycuzzzzzz
well i wont deny the prizes, but i am lvl 70, i am finished of doing quests/dailies, please enlight me how do i get power points without stressing myself? and it's not just only me, there are alot of other people who have this problem too, at this point i need 7 power points for my powers, i would even pay ZEN to get a pack of power points, seriously.
this is a little way stressing for casual players , even for hardcore players.
so i think all quests should give 10k experience, and mobs also should give more experience.
Well, you can use a XP booster to double the rate at which you earn XP. Add to the the inscribed garments, for a further 20% increase.
It would be interesting if they offered a companion whose active bonus is an XP boost as well, (something like a martial trainer).

The bug that allowed Paragon powers to get to rank 4 before spending 70 points will be fixed in tomorrow's patch, according to the notes.
I,ve managed it twice now... no extra power point yet (though I did have them maxed out beforeq mod 6), just R5s and a sapphire.
Thrice. It was so much easier with my ranger a while ago to get power points. Now with my paladin: 3x power point, then 3x nothing. 2 million xp for companion xp tomes and a few rank 6 silvery. Older characters really have an advantage because before mod 6 you earned pp 3x as fast. 4 million xp in total at lvl 70 and I don't have all essential powers at rank 4 and I'm not even talking about power switching for pve/pvp. This will be another 20 million xp to cover most powers I regularly use.

1st time: got x5 XP boost tomes and x10 companion experience tomes
2nd time: Black opal and 1 power point
A bit better rewards than Mod 6 overflow, but 700k XP vs 250k XP is a large bump.
