What I would love to see with companion in Neverwinter

To anyone that can make this happen,

I would love to have an option to summon my companions but make them passive and not attack monsters when I get attacked or when I am fighting.

Many times my companions mess up the monster clusters I am trying to lure or form.

Many times my companions run away and the monsters follow them right as my attack is being unleashed and I MISS!

Many times my companions attack monsters I don't want to fight and I end up having more problems than I asked for.

Sometimes I just want a companion to follow me around like a pet and not chew on stuff around me.

I hate paying taxes! Why must I pay thousands of dollars in taxes when everything I buy is taxed anyways!

Heck, even trashy* games like VanHelsing offer companion combat behavior selection - why not NW?

*this means style, not necessarily game quality or entertainment value...

It shouldn't take much to give us this... STO, which runs on the same engine, lets you select behavior for your bridge officers on ground maps, after all.

    +1 from me!
This may be one solution to keep the healer companions from running into the mouth of the dragon. Of course, improving the AI would be another possible solution...

I can only agree to give greater intelligence to pets and choose how we want to behave, but they become passive no. Together with my black scorpion my paladin is invincible XD or my Hr and aranea which is practically another encounter with the damage it does not change it for anything.

...well, selectable should definitely not mean that there's no "aggressive" option. On the other hand those suicidal tendencies e.g. on the white Emporium healers...

Attack if the player is attacked

    Attack anything that crosses XD

    Attack the weaker mods

    DISTANCE Keep the Adss

Or something like that would be nice
But putting an option to become passive, it is not good idea because some people have hate pets, have expelled me for not wanting to remove even being the tank

Cryptic is the same company that made City of Villains. In CoV, they had a class that summoned henchmen to do the bulk of your fighting for you, and they had a great degree of fine control. If we even just got a fraction of those options, the usefulness of non-augment companions would be greatly improved!
