I really hope the xbox community start to collectively make an effort to breathe some life into the community.
I know its a console and PC mmo's always have a very strong chatty community compared to consoles, but im really hoping this free mmo for the console will start to bring some of the quieter gamers out of their shells.
There is no point in sharing an instance with 50000000000 other real people if no one ever interacts with anyone else. I know some people do it, and its early days yet but at the moment its tumbleweed compared to the pc community.
Most don't use mics yet are happy to blast music or have a conversation with someone else in their room while we can all hear, yet refuse to speak even when spoken to by name.
I've always admired the thriving communities that pc gamers band together to create and im hoping we start to break this reclusive mould on the console too.

In time I am sure there will be a few shining beacons of communities that the X-Box players can join but just like the PC version it will take time for them to form.

THIS! I played WOW for years. I made tons of friends on WOW. Nobody ever talks in Neverwinter. I never even see any social chat. I am only level 26 so perhaps that is why. I do have a mic and have tried to talk, but nobody ever talks back.
The in game voice chat is (putting it gently) terrible.
XBox One Party app is much, much better. Why people are hesitant to use it is beyond me.
It took some getting used to, but figured it out after some trial and error.
Only hang up is it take a minute to get everybody invited in a group, and they need to accept the invite.
Even some, think chat is their Twitter account or a forum discussion....
Not really quiet.
But still,i don't use it : it's too complicated, outdated, takes too long to write,ect....Way easier and faster for me,to use voice chat, but even in 2015,it's only available when we are in a group.
The main town never has words spoken. It's very sad. There are very affordable keyboards for 20 bucks that are wireless.
The lack of any social interaction is a shame. Game feels dead. Have tried many times to elicit a response from folks on the various chat channels, but have never had anyone respond. Even guild chat, which you'd think folks would surely see by default. As it stands this thing is a single player version of its PC counterpart with next to no end game. Actually no end game if you are unlucky enough to not have real world friends who could be bothered to play.
Also, whoever had the idea to artificially locking off content, the so called "campaigns", with 20hr timers, should be removed from their current employ. Why is there no option for a solo player to slowly chip away at an end game goal? no no you must do a few quests only, 10 minutes of game play then wait a day IRL. WTF?
Artificial timers really HAMSTER me off to, devs and others will say ''but people will blaze through the campaign really quick and then get bored blablablabla bulls**t'' people will get bored waiting with nothing to do at endgame apart from spam the same dungeon runs or same pvp (and at the moment dps are getting pissed off with this endgame because of the constant kicking from dung's), i think if players want to speed through it or spend all day doing it then they should be able to, it harms no one.
i will add though, once you get past the first 3-4 parts of the campaign there is a lot of repeatables that can last a pretty decent amount of time. chuck in some dung runs and a few dragon kills and you get a days worth of gaming out of it, still artificial timers HAMSTER me off :P
