When people put there items in the AH with out a buy out it is a waste of time. people need those low level item NOW not in four days they will be leveled past it by then. I.E Say I am level 45 and want a weapon, I search one and find what I like and it has no buy out and it has three days left...by the time I get it I will be 55+ and have no need of it.

    Agreed!

Drives me mad when I go on there, somehow battle my way through the broken filters, only to see that the one item that might be useful has a 5-day wait on it...

Still can't tell how much of this is the players fault, or bad coding for the Auction House item sorting/posting.

Drives me mad when I see a bunch of garbage lol. Hard to type in what you're looking for in the search engine with a controller. The stuff you pick up while leveling is good enough until you hit level 60. Then it becomes a gearing up game. I look and see a bunch of stuff that you could buy for a couple of gold in game.

I just noticed this morning when I tried using the Auction House that the filters worked?!?!? I selected equipment, then class, checked box usable by me and it seriously filtered out only cleric items. It has never worked before so not sure if it was a fluke or what.

Anyways to the OP- yes please put buyout prices!! I always put a buyout more for a courtesy than a "im trying to get more money". My buyout is generally right around the price I am asking. But that is just me.

I would prefer they don't start adding buyouts. Then none of my items will sell anywhere near as fast. I love taking advantage of the fact that 80% of auctions have no buyout, and if I put my buyout even slightly above their starting bid its usually sold before I can make it out of town. Loving it!

You sir have a great point! Great for those of us that add buyouts. Only sucks when I myself want something HAHAHA But I guess we cant have it both ways.

That filter has worked since day one for me. I just wishe the rarity and level filters worked.

OP- All gear (except Shirts and Pants) you pick up on the way to 60 is usually an upgrade to what you already have already owned and the auction house is really not needed for equipment prior to 60. One thing you have to remember bout the buyout is people dont want to put it due to the fact that alot of Items are hard sought and people will keep biding as long as theyre able to pay. I hate seeing an item I want with a 5d auction with a 1 mil AD buyout personally.

I always put a BO price but I guess since it is so hard to find stuff on the AH it really does not help...
But I agree with you, there needs to be BO prices.

Why at 45 are you even BUYING anything? Save your money. And I dont put By Out, because all the "New Players" are willing to purchase my trash. And when I do put a By Out i get way to many emails to lower my prices. Need only 250 thousand more AD before I hit 1 Mill. SO tell me again, why I should always put a Buy Out. And yes I also sell on the exchange..

Its our choice to put a buyout or not. Sometimes I do, sometimes I dont. Bid or not you also have a choice.

I used a weapon for the example but it applies to almost anything, let say this time it is some gems or a map and i just need a few to go with a task do you think is is a good idea to have one simple item in the AH for four days with a value of 5 AD? It just clogs up the lists. you may have noticed but only 400 items are listed at a time that means many are pushed off or hidden by wasteful use of the AH. I understand it is your game to use as you see fit, but it does affect us all.
