I get tons of them and VERY few identity scrolls. I'd appreciate it if we could get a lot less. It seems like maybe 2 in 10 items don't require identification, if that.

The better answer than Eldarth's is: don't ID them.
The same complaint came out with the PC version. I had thought the main reason for this complaint was old school D&D players tied the act of identification to being magical and useful items as it is in Pen and Paper but this absolutely isn't the case in Neverwinter. The sad truth is a green item is more common than a white drop and it's the true trash drop of the game.
It's generally not worth spending time or money identifying them and generally you will find green and blue items on the auction house far cheaper than if you spend the time, effort and money identifying them yourself.
The best advice is to identify blues. If you really want use the spares on greens but in time you will find you will stop even picking up green items let alone worry about identifying them.
I am still wondering why a Cleric cannot ID items using a skill. As far back as Wizardry on my old Apple ][e as a kid, there was always a class that could cast ID, usually with a cooldown of some sort.
ID only things you plan on using. You can see the level Requirement. The item itself will be outlined in red if you can't use it, it also says the Items Class. Simple as that.
