Questions From a Returning Player

OK, so I've returned to this game for the first time since launch. I never even got a character to the level cap, but my SW is coming along nicely this time, and after a few days of play is level 42. Sadly, I think I may have messed up. You see, I'm old school D&D where Con was for HP, and INT was for Magic users. Wis was for those crappy 9 rolls, and Cha was for Paladins. When I made this character, the tooltip says that charisma is our primary stat, so naturally, I wanted 18 in that stat, then I placed my racial bonus in that stat. However, as I've leveled up, learned more about the class, and read the guides here on the forums, I've learned that it and Int are really secondary stats to Con. The most constitution I can end up with is 18. Is this going to cripple my character? Obviously, a higher Con would be optimal, but can the deficit be overcome? For example, can I stack more power, or spec 5/5 BPoC to increase the damage bonus gained?

The other question is with Dreatheft. I know this may border on blasphemy here, as you all seem to love this spell . . . but I hate it. Sure the damage is great, but it seems a bit buggy. I frequently have issues with it clipping walls and pulling half the dungeon, or simply locking me out of my spells for 3 seconds while the game figures out that I've cancelled the ability, plus I find the spell effect ridiculous looking. Is hellbringer even viable without it, or would one need to be soulbinder to take advantage of some of our other fun tools in place of Dreadtheft? I enjoy both styles this class has to offer, and I only ask because 300 zen a pop gets a little expensive.

At any rate, it's a fun class, and things (at this level) just seem to melt under my demonic onslaught. I'd hate to reroll, but if I need to, I'd rather do it now than later. Thanks in advance for the responses.

Well, I'm personally a Soulbinder so obviously crit is more important to me, but as I understand it Cha is actually overall stronger than Con for damage most of the time. Dreadtheft is not technically necessary, and a lot of people will instead slot Killing Flames and/or Fiery Bolt to replace it, as both of them do good damage (though they are fire damage which is a downside for Fury specs). A good portion of taking Dreadtheft is to combo with warlock's bargain to get stupid amounts of Creeping Death damage and get significant damage reduction which nobody has a number on haha, but it is noticeable, and is used on Soulbinder as well because it hits several times per second and gives you some pretty crazy spark generation if you hit multiple targets.
Someone may need to correct me, but to my understanding no respeccing is needed.

Edit: Cha is for sorcerers and secondary for pallies and clerics >:(
wisdom is primary for both pallies and clerics.

i am soulbinder too, but more pvp orientated, so i stack con, the more the better, since u can buy artifacts that push your stats as u wish, you can correct things later a bit
you even can reroll the stats, but that costs 1500 Zen (you have to buy racechange)
i did this with my DC cause he needed con in PVP
if i could change things i would reroll stats with my WL and take a more equally balanced char, cause u get more in reward , more stats all in all by rolling a 15-14-14 13-13-12 instead of 18-16-12-10-10-10

Thanks guys. I appreciate the response. I'm leaning more towards Soulbinder myself. Crazy damage is fun, but I like being useful in groups. The healing we can do is pretty awesome along with great damage to boot, and all of it mostly passive to top things off.

I did not know about the race change. I had read somewhere that race changing was not allowed, and didn't dig further into the Zen store to find out. I'm really glad that was old info now! I'm not usually a stickler for these kinds of things, but the Dragonkin animations, and the lack of a helm were really starting to wear on me.

Guess I should have just rerolled in hindsight, but meh. I like this toon.

Soulbinder will be the preferred choice if you want to PvP (especially for upcoming mod 6 it seems)

if you are diligent and get to each mob first, you can still be a top DPS'er if you spec Fury.

The playstyle of SOulbinder just doesnt really fit my style, so Il be staying hellbringer most likely
