Playable Race Suggestion: Ilithid

If nothing else, (and I realize the subjectivity of this statement) the coolest looking CW's and SW's and Clerics I can think of. Even bulky GF and GWF builds would be in line with a Thoon Hulk type frame (albeit smaller for player characters). They're totally plausible as Stormwardens, and there are already dagger-wielding Illithids in the game, so why not Illithid rogues? I would imagine a race with a literal hunger for knowledge above all else would be good at anything they set their minds to.

Illithid are lawful evil, so it's a no go for the game lore.

I also don't see Illithid in any of the published 4e player races.

They already gave a huge hint to what the next race is, during the last livestream. Did not say, however I am thinking possibly aquatic elf.
