During the Winter Festival I noticed for the first time since you'll have been doing events that maintenance happened before the event should have been technically over and the same thing with this last event. Every single event since Neverwinter first started has lasted until 11:00 am (CST my time) and I've always been able to get up early and do a little bit at the last moment but not anymore. Usually the event timer runs down then maintenance kicks in but not anymore. I get you'll are on a different time zone and post what time you'll are going to do maintenance but why the sudden change? For instance yesterday at noon the event time said 23 hours left which would have made it end at 11:00 am for me but I get up at 8:00 in the morning and event is over and maintenance is running? Just seems like if the event says 4 or 5 days then it should run for that time. Maybe change the event clock to end before you'll do maintenance?
Anyway just wondering why the sudden change. Kinda sucks since I only needed one more thing to get another box
Anyone else notice this in their time zone? Not a big deal really to tell the truth but I think it'd be a good idea for the event clock to show the "actual" time you really have left to do the event.

Nurp have only played long enough for this one event to have taken place. I suppose from now on I will understand it will happen, but being as this is the first to have happened during my short Neverwinter career it was new to me.
What'd be nice is if the staff would see people complaining about the same stuff every event, and take steps to address it.
You can still turn in any saved Writ of Commendation for the event coins. You will still be able to claim any Defense Supplies being made in Professions. You can still buy Defense Supplies from AH.
At least this time it's not scheduled for 3 hrs on maintenance starting an hour earlier than normal.

I think the better request would be to ask that events end at 7am Thursday, at the beginning of Maintenance. It's really just a play on words.
I cant log-in after maintenance begins, at that point it doesn't matter what the actual time is. No matter what the Devs put as the end ov the event, I know its over when Maintenance starts.
And, BTW, I logged in a char, at 6:57 am this morning to Invoke. Just sayin'.
So indefense of the Devs, remember, all events need to end with maintenance. That's how the it gets changed.
I also read that there was no patch scheduled today.
Thank Devs for your hard work!

Using maintenance to patch the game to add/remove the event makes total sense, and it's not going to change.
And last I checked, there were dozens of ice sprites on the AH for under 10k AD, under 5k nearer to the Winter Festival itself. Just buy one.
The event time should be extended if there is downtime? If servers down for 3hrs, then add 3hrs to the event timer?
Seems like an easy thing to move either the end of the event, or the maintenance window. Upsets players every time.

Sure, but that's not exactly what they are doing. The event is still officially live per the published event times when maintenance starts. If they start the event three hours earlier and end it when maintenance starts, problem solved. Zero confusion. Full advertised duration of the event available.

I mean yeah the bandwidth at wrk isn't what I have at home, but my work rig is a gaming rig, and I brought my laptop with me to use that anyway
Well, the event technically does not START until maintenance ends and they obviously set it to exactly 1 week duration, therefore event ends at the same time it started, but 1 week later. Obviously, they could code it so that all events are extended by however long a maintenance downtime lasts, but it is minor detail and unlikely they will bother with it.
1min left on event whilst im typing this
