Yes , up until a couple of days ago, splitting the stack of shards unbound the shards
Unfortunately, they are now amongst the many items that have "magically" become bound to character in the past couple of weeks.
I upgraded the shards to a Lesser enchant since they were bound to a character who would not use them.
The upgraded enchant was also bound to character
Slotting the bound enchant into armor and then unslotting it made it unbound.
Sold it immediately before it's status changed again
Since M4 if I'm not wrong. Same "$%& happened to my 35 shards too, all bounded from one day to another. OK if the new ones get bounded, but not the old ones, facepalm
Comments
If you make an enchantment with bound shards, the enchantment should be unbound. If it is bound, equip it and it should then be unbound.
One year?..
