Shocking Execution - Here we go again.

Well... this power is back to its old devastation but worse. It's as broken as ever.

1-Shotted from Full Health(48K HP)through Empowered Astral Shield + P.Barkshield + Hallowed Ground. Really now?

It ignores DR, Tenacity, and everything.

This is a never-ending cycle.

    We all know its not possible unless there are cheats or you don't know the mechanics of shocking execution it works like culling blade of axe in DOTA. I've have fought players who refuse to die when their Hp is down to 10 percent even if we use daily and encounter powers. which is insane.

    I noticed when I got back to playing that Shocking Execution is no longer an EXECUTION move. They took away the extra damage based on HP and the ability straight up makes no sense now. They should just rename it "Loud Ghost Knife Thingy" the hillbilly cousin to Ice Knife.

    I don't think penetration of Astral Shield or Tenacity is intended, at least I hope it's not, no buff spells should be negated by anything or we're pretty much back where beta was with resistances going into negatives.

    edit: Then again they've been throwing around Piercing damage a lot now it seems. Something that has no place in PvP but obv isn't needed for PvE.

    Yeah I'm aware it was re-worked.

    They managed to break it to unimaginiable levels. It's worse than before.

    Okay it's dodgeable, but all the rogue has to do is to daze you then launch it. Bam... 48K HP gone in a single blow.

    It is kinda frustrating getting one shotted by gs 13 trs as a 21 gs gwf with 44 khp and over 50% DR 6 Times in one match.....

    More and more TR move over to this path by the day so something has happend....

    the game is ruined beyond belief. not only is it frustrating it is boring and pointless. does anyone even test this besides the players?!
    you all should stop testing this for them cause they ain't listening to a word people say. let them actually earn the money people pay for this.

    You can't dodge it with GWF, GF or SW at all. Our shift abilities grant us DR and SE ignores it all.I've no idea why devs never learn from their errors.

    And don't even let me start on Arcane Singularity... if it was a true singularity it would made the whole planet collapse! :D

    BTW i've noticed too some powers behave differently, apparently they are either stealth-changing things or making background changes that are not supposed to change how powers behave, but they introduce bugs somehow.

    In some way it makes pvp easier. Before the mod5 TR you were trying hard, you were theorycrafting, shifting your builds, optimizing your rotations, studying the favourable spots in the map. Now you know you're just a soap bubble whose lifespan does not exceed a few seconds, moving blissfully through the battlefield. All the stress of pvp was removed in Mod5, your life is not in your hands any more, so why bother.

    I have seen no changes to SE in the patchnotes, I haven't tested it myself because I'm a WK, but if they changed something about it recently it wasn't listed in the patchnotes.

    It may be a bit overpowered, IF the TR criticals. However, this does NOT need to be nerfed back to Mod 2 status - this attack was pretty much a waste then - I never even bothered to slot it in those days as it did less damage than many lower level daily attacks.. Keep in mind this is the HIGHEST ranked daily attack for the MI pathway - it should always be fierce!

    I really want to see a video showing that TR whose power is 11 to 12k GS can 1 hit a 20 to 25k GS GWF, HR, DC, and GF and so on. Cause sometime there are other enemy player targeting you or debuffed you before that killing blow. And you blame it all to the TR. Otherwise all your crying will be nulled and void... and please don't post the preview shard video cause I do 100k damage on that server but on live 30k only.

    If you got one shotted by those classes then you're just a PUG with PvE gear in PvP. Whereas you can get one shot by TRs even if you had 50k+ hp, bis gear, 22% tenacity and whatnot. And like I said, GF, GWF and SW have no way to avoid the 1hko. Our shift abilities grant us DR which SE ignores COMPLETELY.

    Initially the complaint by TRs was:
    "Shocking Execution is broken! Now it does less damage. It sucks as a power!"

    So, of course I slotted it in as a power, and started using it rather effectively.

    Now it's said by other classes :

    "Shocking Execution is broken! It's too powerful!"

    Know what actually sucks for lag, an ineffectiveness in dungeons? Ye olde Smoke Bomb. Yes, this is only good for solo usage, and has one of the highest lag FXs possible.

    SO! Drop the Smoke Bomb for something like Deft Strike instead for use on bosses. Moar damages....

    As for those whom don't like Shocking Execution just look at it's usefulness vs something besides yourself when you're in a party WITH a TR. Better to keep the power effective for when they (the TRs) are on your side rather than complain it's something that kills you.

    41k damage from 17k TR, no debuffs, 1v1. It ignores all defenses and even tenacity and crits all the time. I'm sure 20k+ GS TRs can hit for 50k+ like nothing.

    That sounds about right. The guy on my pic has 6k power so that's like 10% higher than yours.

    FIrst strike is to blame. I'd like to see it reworked somehow.

    Now it's 60%+ on first attack, beefy one-shotting tool in pvp or questing (damage mostly overkill though), but nearly useless on boss fights. It would be better like 5-10-15% more crit severity procced by damage from stealth (attack proccing it included), 6 sec duration, 20 sec cd, or 2-4-6% crit severity passively (yawn). Those would supress one-shotting and prove more useful in pve.
