TXAA is not working after mod5

Hello people!

I have a GeForce GTX 770 4GB 256bit, with an i3 3.07Ghz, overclocked to 3.6Ghz and 8gb of ram. I always played with TXAA x4 with 60 fps and drop to 50 ~ 55 fps.

But after upgrading to mod5 the TXAA stopped working. When I put the command /txaa 1 in console, the game closes. And even MSAA x8 is not the same quality as before.

This will be a game bug or is it something related to my pc?

PS: I figured that a video driver update would solve, but I was wrong, not solved.

Thanks!

I'd try updating your DirectX and see if that fixes it. If not, please make a Support Ticket and include your dxdiag report as an attachment.

Everything looks pretty much unfiltered on my side too. I use dx11 for Neverwinter and the gamespref.pref file inside the Cryptic Studios/Neverwinter/Live/localdata/ folder says, it's successfully set to txaa x4, but it doesn't look like it. My Win8.1 gets its directx updates from windows update itself (should be dx 11.2?). I'm downloading the latest DX-SDK right now, but i very much doubt that will make a difference. We'll see.. The videocard i use is an Nvidia 650ti boost and it's driver 344.75.
It's pretty obvious the Neverwinter rendering engine got an overhaul; maybe something went wrong?

I think something went wrong with this update.

I also use DirectX 11 and my Gameprefs.Prefs is also set to start with TXAA x4. But, as MSAA and starts with a lower quality before mod5. Even if I switch to TXAA, nothing happens.

At first he thought it was the video driver. I upgraded to 344.75 and continued the same thing, also tried to update DirectX, but is the latest version.

The trick is to wait to patch it.

I remembered that Neverwinter comes with its own directx files it uses, so updating your OSes DX files does nothing. Deleting the gamespref.pref files and letting them be recreated didn't help either.
What did the trick was to go to every in game graphics setting tab and click on "reset settings" there. Suddenly the ugliness cleared up and the game started to look normal again. Yay!

Here it did not work. I exclude Gameprefs.Prefs and reconfigured the game and nothing. the TXAA not work at all, or the console, and when I type /txxa 1 to activate, the game closes.

None of these solutions worked for me. Devs really should take a look on this problem. I doubt that's something complicated because before mod 5 everything was fine.
