Need help....

Okay my video card failed spectacularly earlier today..... talking sparks and such... thankfully it wa sonly the card's fan..but problem. Until I can replace the fan or card itself..I'm having to us eonbaord graphics..I know yuck..here's the problem. Playing around with the settings required a game restart and ever since, when on the neverwinter screen it goes black and crashes. I've tried totally removing the game and arc and any bits and pieces it leaves behind, reinstalling and get the same thing. Is there any way to reset the defaults when you can't actually get into the game? I mean, I had no problem before (the choppiness and lag I was trying to mitigate)... yet can't access in gameoptions to reverse what I did..any ideas?

Ya might have an issue with the software from your vid card messing things up and that your onboard graphics might need an updated driver. As far as setting the graphics to default......

.................well, the game always defaults with every new mod. :rolleyes:

It sounds like your drivers are out of date, or the onboard card doesn't meet the game min. requirements.

What is the model of the onboard video card you are working with?

On the patching screen click options and check the Safe mode option , this will start the game with basic minimum settings , if your built in graphic card cannot play the game in safe mode then you are on enforced hiatus until you can buy a new card.
