Give me a status symbol

So, rather than complain that the Hat of the Arcane Wanderer is now pug level of cheap, I have decided to suggest a solution.

Can we please add something in the game, either Zen Store or Bazzar, that is ridiculously expensive but looks awesome. At this point, I would spend 20mil AD or more to separate myself from the random players. Come on Cryptic, I am asking for an AD sink, please just give me one.

    Don't we have that already? Some of the most expensive mounts, like Tenser's Floating Disk surely fall in the "status symbol" category.

    Or what do you want? A flashing neon "I'M THE GREATEST"" sign floating above your head ?

    Sure wouldn't hurt! And no it is not elitist, it is a status symbol. What you are saying is, "you already have a BMW, why do you want a mansion?". Frankly I want as many things as possible for me to work to get that separates me.

    Tenser's Floating Disk is bout 20 mill. Frankly, that hat hasn't been a status symbol in awhile. Every wizard seems to have them.

    +1 to OP.

    Some of us have earned tens of millions legit. It would be a good ad sink to both rich whales AND exploiters. Plus I have been a big proponent against ad exploiters. No love lost there

    In this game? Absolutely. One acting like this is real life has negative effects. This is game, and it is my intention to do every fun thing that I can't do IRL. Excessive pride? Yes, ruining people in pvp? Yes, spawn camping? Yes, corpse humping? Yes.

    If this is how the OP wants to play, so be it. His style isn't my style, so it doesn't matter to me.

    Since I am only a casual player, I don't ever intend to have all of the shiny pixelated things in the game, and that's fine with me. And when I see someone with expensive stuff, I assume the person either is a no-lifer, hard-core AD market player, or exploiter. Since I don't know the person, I don't really dwell on it. I just try to have fun doing what I enjoy doing in the game.

    In other words, don't be too quick to pass judgment. :)

    Hey now, I never said it was a BAD thing! LOL
    I am not debunking anything here. I'm as conceited as they get (so many Forum crybabies hate my guts already)!

    Oh, and as others have stated: your chance is coming with the Sgt. Knox Auction. Only five will be available, full stop. That's even more rare than the Armored Polar Bear.

    Your best bet OP is to acquire that PVP Pirate Set.

    I hope we are able to see what the winning bids are. I can nearly guarantee at least one or two will be AD exploiters who escaped the ban knife. The others will be AD market pros who know how to make a fortune playing the AD stock market - I have met these people before in other online games, but I don't knock them - it takes a lot of work and practice to play the market well in any MMO.

    Not a bad idea! But here is the deal. I don't want a grind status symbol, I want a wealth status symbol =/ but I do appreciate the possitive suggestion :)

    Aren't there also transmutables in the Trade Bar merchant costing 1000 bars each?

    Yes but not really for CW =/ the hat was the only thing and now that is gone.

    Aaaand this is Reason #1 why I won't ever PVP again. It's full of trashy people with trashy attitudes.
