Well, Lets just say, I am a guild leader in this game. I am finding alot of issues with being able to keep stability with the people in my guild. When recruiting, I am finding out that alot are asking " What am I getting out of this?" And they Never like the idea of "friendship, nothing".... Well........ This is my IDEA..
In many past games I have had guilds that leveled up. Some guilds like on my phone game gave bonuses. So, I am thinking we could have some sorta crafting system. Nothing like what we got here. Something that you have to be logged in for yet can have an auto option so we can craft while we eat dinner. For example. " Fishing", you fish for random time and get a curtain type of point system through fishing. When you move, you disrupt the fishing and it pauses your points till next time you fish again. Second example. A mine in one part of your guild and a dump in another side. Auto to mine, your character walks back and forth. There is much more we can do as well. Like make us build all these things in order to have them. Oh oops, This was Idea number 2. My first idea was a Guild hall that we can decorate for bragging purposes.
ALSO, GMS, We need to have a donating system for the Astro diamonds So that the guilds can upgrade there guild banks, Same with zen donations. I have had so many people wanting to donate over 100k diamonds to guild and We miss out do to there not being a system. This system could also help with the guild Hall building and leveling and stuff...
LETS MAKE THIS GAME MORE LIKE D&D With guild halls !!! What do you guys think ? Please post here with comments. GMS, YOU TOO, Post to let us know you are around !!!
That's odd. Our guild offers pretty much the standard 'people to game with', and we have no real issues with either recruiting or retention that I have seen.

Hmm, sounds exactly like a fleet in Star Trek Online. Leveling by contributing, Fleet bases, fleet only weapons/shields/etc, functioning PvP system, Fleet vs Fleet action.
So what people want is the STO Fleet system in Neverwinter. I agree. STO has done Fleet/Guilds correctly.

This is all a guild should be. Players to talk and play with, maybe a voice chat server. Any other benefit just causes weird meta-gaming of guilds issues.
Guilds in this game do need a lot of improvements. It's hard to say which exactly since NW has the worst implementation of the guild system among all MMOs I've played.
M6 almost drains your soul given how boring it is. (c) joocycuzzzzzz

STO's Fleet system is one of the WORST ever. in that game its either be a member of a large fleet and have all the best stuff, or forget about being competitive.
there are other MASSIVE flaws in the system to, like the catch22 of needing a large fleet to unlock stuff, but not ever being able to get Fleet credits BECAUSE you're in a large fleet.
In another game I play, when you join a guild, you do so as a player, not as a character. All your alts are automatically in the guild. This took some getting used to but I think that on the whole it is a better system. The default is no longer to leave the guild when you start a new character.
You can't expect anyone to be attached to a guild until they have been in it for a while. There's a pool of people out there who are not committed to any one particular guild, because their time is spread across multiple characters, and a bunch of guilds that are dying because the people they recruit do not stick around long enough to make friends with anyone.
Sure you can add all your alts to a guild now, but that requires a conscious decision -- new guild members won't necessarily bother with it -- and it's a pain for the guild master to track who is whose alt. I think it would be better for a guild's members to be the players themselves, not just their characters.

I also agree with the OP's suggestions.
EXACTLY !!!, what your first two posts spoke about. There isnt really anything there to keep you in a guild so "why stay?". Now, if we have a guild system where you have helped develop to a high lvl or is already a high lvl, this guild system would carry a curtain type of weight. And with the guilds having the auto thing for afkers, and guild areas, this gives your afker more valuable as well. And as for me, If my character is in a game afk doing the auto mining stuff, This will get me to play more as well, less logging in and out of my computer. Its just simple. With guilds that have more interaction, this will cause for more guild play. Making this game more D&D and also more fun to be in. As this will also help us develop more relationships with guild and guild members. The game wins wins.
Only way for the game to fail on this potential update is if they force you to use Zen. People dont mind doing 1000 hours built up through a combined effort just for lvl 1. As long as they can see the hours grow. But being forced to use zen for upgrading and no way to donate zen. This will drop the idea. So if you are listening Perfect World. Please don't get greedy with this idea. Please don't get greedy.... Yet, It would also increase revenues through other avenues. Such as you can give bonuses for curtain races, Like the dragon skin or moon elf's and such for curtain tasks. Like a 10% or 15% faster gain. Also with classes as well. I can so help you guys with the ideas, just send me a priv message. I can easily break it down for you.

I agree with this.
Look at what happened in modules 1-4. No guild integration at all and a shift of focus to casual single player random gameplay
+1
This should be in the game for sure. But so should much more lol.

There's a magazine article where the lead dev stated that this will be implemented in NeverWinter.
