I am amazed at items tooltips

So like the title says I am amazed

so the new module got cool thing by which we do the quests over there and we get cloaks that have got free appearance change


This is awesome and on tool tip and finally Devs responded to the community to gives us cool looking Cloaks

Cloak of the Harpers << I like its design to use it on my DC >>

Feeling Ecstatic about it and about to change my Necklace appearance


Here comes the Shanigans and the kaboom hits

When you try to change it you need to pay about 52k AD --> how would that cloak be free appearance change then

    Just by the picture I can tell you already changed the appearance of that Ancient Slavemaster's Necklace of Control into a scarf. It would seem that no matter the description, an item will only ever get one appearance change that is free. I cannot discuss what results I've received from support inquiries, but even if the item transmuted originally had a cost and you use a free item against it, it will still cost AD.

    I'm 99% sure I've never changed the appearance of my dominator's cloak. but I'm getting the same charge when I tried the 'free' Harpers cloak....

    so free change appearance items is one time use , well this necklace i changed it 3 times using 3 difference scarfs that we got from that winter event .. how come ??

    I've already submitted this bug to the bug forum, I hope they have time to fix it before the patch this week.

    You might want to double check the rest of the cloaks from the campain to make sure they will not have the same issue when we finally unlock them.

    Can you ask your guys to check all the free transmute cloaks from the Tyranny of dragons campaign , there are several and all of them are supposed to be free transmutes ,it would be a shame to fix this one and leave the other three or four lol

    I transmuted my Mulhorand Holy Symbol with a Free Appearance Change token from somewhere ages back. It can't be salvaged, so I kept on to it in my inventory.

    I then found I could use the changed Mulhorand Item to change the appearance of my new Holy Symbol. But it also wanted about 36,000 AD or so, so I did not bother.

    It seems that you can use old, transmuted items as an Appearance Change token on a new item - at a cost of AD.

    It also seems that you can use a Free Appearance Change token on an item that has already been transmuted - at a cost of AD.

    It appears that a Free Appearance Change Token is only free on an item that has not already been transmuted. But you can then use that item to change a newer item, if you are prepared to pay the AD cost.

    This will probably destroy the original item, of course.

    PS Just saw Panderus' post.

    Does that mean that being able to use transmuted items to change another item is not supposed to happen, or is it also supposed to be free? Or is it WAI that it costs a lot of AD?

    I dropped my Harper Cloak when it told me it wasn't the same
    item type as my Xvim necklace. :-/ Dunno if it would've been
    free or not.
